(Conclusion to "The Ramblings Of One Succumbed to Stress" wink
Try and try as I might, pride balks me. Are my efforts in vain? Well, I must eventually prevail. All of this work has to take me somewhere, right?
Quick to criticize and pass out advise like a damn column, my throne encompassed me from all sides. Then, in a previous adventure, I decided to travel and take to the seas. In their deep murks I met my death. Though an angel must be watching over, for I surfaced once more. Once I emptied my lungs of the foul water and restored them with familiar air, I observed my surroundings. This was not the port I had left from! These ships were hardly top notch; most had corks in the hulls, preventing a leak. Considering my circumstances, I wasn't all too picky; for this was a great improvement from the bottom of the ocean. Slowly I regained my strength and boarded a small sail boat. Its mighty sail embraced the wind and I appreciated its thrust, I could not have made it alone.
And so the reluctant put aside her pride.
So, a note: Don't be afraid to admit that you can't do something. Ah! But don't give up too quickly either. One must know their limitations before attempting a feat, thus preventing overexertion or otherwise system failure. There I go, the damn advise column. 9__9
Take care,
