*ok, hello readers, sorry i haven't been putting up my stories lately. I haven't been writing much, so anyway here we go*
The Old Life, Chapter 5
(Lendalas POV) Lendala groaned in her sleep as she was awakened by Lilly, her tiger. "What is it girl?" Lilly bite Lendala's hand gently bringing her over to the window. There she saw three anbu black ops 50 feet away from her door. She then narrowed her eyes, "What do they want?" Walking over to it she opened the door. The anbu black ops looked at her through thier animal faced masks. "How may I help you?" she asked. It was silent, they did not move, only stared at her. Lendala narrowed her eyes not liking the silence. She slamed the door quickly and ran up the stairs. Mid way up, she turned her head back to see the anbu's behind her at the bottom steps. She ran into my room and shut the door putting a jutsu on it. "Tiger Fang Shield!" It wouldn't last long but it would buy some time.
(Back to me) My eyes fluttered open by Lenda's cold hands shaking me. Sitting up, I made the bed shake waking Shadow and Gaara also. "What's wrong Lenda?" "There's no time for questions. Put some pants and shoes on, now." The door banged, frightening me, making me put on my pants and shoes even faster. Gaara didn't know what was going on either but he put his shoes on. Lenda opened the window that was over the back roof and told us to jump out. "But why?" "Just do it, Saga plz" I was fully scared now and did as she told with Gaara following behide me. Now standing on the roof I looked back waiting for her. "Now jump off the roof and head for the scattered trees and don't stop until you reach Khonaha(sp?)." "But what about you?" "Me and the other felines will get out safely." I was going to say something to her, but the shield cracked causing the door to bust open. "There she is!" said one of the anbu pointing at me. "Go now!" Lenda pushed me off the roof. Gaara was already down waiting for me. Looking back again the window was closed, I could only see shadows flying across my room and the sound of metal hitting against eachother.
Gaara pulled my arm dragging me away from the house and into a small scatter of forest. Half way out of my trance I ran with Gaara heading toward the huge trees. Then our shadows rised up infront of us. Their surroundings were the color orange mixed in with red; fire. I looked back again to see the window of my room on a golden flame. Just noticing that our home wasn't that far from here. "Lenda!" Not thinking I ran back to the house, our house. Gaara grabed my shoulder stopping me. "Let go, Gaara!!" "I can't!" "Lenda will die if you don't, now let go of me!" Gaara stayed quiet for a minute then said, "Look!" He was pointing to the side of the house where the adult felines slept. I looked, only for my eyes to widen as the side brusted into fragments of clay that flow everywhere.
(Gaara's POV) What he saw was three of his father's best anbu black ops, Lendala and a pack of different kinds of cats. The anbu's where hunched over, out of breath. Thier long, sand colored poncho ripped up to thier knees.Thier animal masks had slits in them and craked. One mask showing someones left eye, another showed a mouth, and another eye but the right one. Lenda...she looked as if a bear had attacked her. Her hair was all over the place, covering her face. Out of its usaul long pony tail wrapped in bandages for decoration. Her clothes seemed untouched, with a few rips, unlike the felines. They were all scratched up but not badly enough for them to bleed to death (as pay ment for her taking care of them they give thier lifes to her). One of the anbu's looked over to him and Saga. Catching thier breath the anbu's went to attack Lendala except for two. Lendala saw this and said these words with a deep demonic voice, "I thought i told you two to leave!" Frightened, he took a step back but then bumpped into something tall. He looked back to see an anbu with his left eye showing. "You must come with us now Gaara-sama." Suddenly Gaara heard a scream from behind and turned to look.
(Back to me) I was pulled away from Gaara, letting out a scream for help. "Let her go!" Lenda yelled out while she was still fighting with the anbu, but soon ended it by backing away and letting Lilly claw away at his chest. "Hold still," the man with his right eye showing said while holding onto me while I was squriming. "No!" Releasing Gaara the anu black op went to hold back Lenda only for Deth, Sadows father, to bite down onto his neck, breaking it. Speaking of Sadow I wondered where he was. Then the anbu that was holding me let go falling to the ground. "Sa...ga." Turning around I went to hug Lenda crying, to only get nothing in return. "Lenda?" "So pathetic, I have to do everything by myself," said a man from behind Lenda holding her up by her shirt collar. His hand was darked by a liquid of red. I shock Lenda's limpped body still thinking that she was alive. "Lenda...Lenda!" A drop of warm, crimson red fell on my forehead. It ran down my forehead to my nose. I wipped it off looking at it. "Blood?" The man dropped Lenda's body letting it meet the hard cold ground. "What did you do to her!?" I said kneeling down to her. "I killed her and now I'll do the same to you. I looked up at him with fear then got up and ran away, pushing Gaara out of the way and ran into the forest.
(Gaara's father POV) "Gaara, let's go." "But father-" "Don't argue with me Gaara...now let's go." Suddenly a scream filled the air. Gaara looked half way, almost turning back. "Gaara."
