The Old Life, Chapter 25
After the battle we were gathered at the bottom and told that we had to show more of our moves in the next battle. To know who we were going to fight with in the next battle we pulled out numbers from a box. I got number five. My opponent was Nyatta. In her battle she was ok but seemed to waste a lot of chakra. However I may not even get a chance to fight fer. The Kazekages plans haven't went off yet but it could at any time.
I wanted to speak with Orochimaru but he had disappeared during Shino's fight. If I do get that chance I would like to know why everyone was here. While in thought Temari tapped me on the shoulder, "Hey, you probably don't remember me." Looking up from the ground, I saw that she was smirking at me, "No, I remember you. Gaara told me when we were younge." "I see.... He's changed a lot since you left." Nodding I replied, "I noticed when he battled that Lee person." He was also leaning on the wall but his eyes were closed, "What happened to him?" Temari didn't say anything at first, she closed her eyes and breathed in slowly, "A year after you died..I mean left, Gaara was shunned more then ever by others since they thought he was going to explode from madness at any minute because his only friend was killed in a fire. Anyway our father thought that Gaara might be too much and that he would give into the monster inside him. So he sent elite ninja on him, " she then looked down her eyes half way open, "One of them was Gaara's uncle. He was the one that took care of Gaara when you were gone. As a result to seeing him trying to kill him, Gaara blocked out all the rest of his emotions and placed that kanji on his forehead."
Nothing was said after the short story. We all, my team and hers, just waited while out sensi's got together and chatted up a storm. "So how has the dating life been Baki. " Baki blushed surprised that she knew of his seceret. "H-how did you know about that." "I have Saga remember and also I visit my teams family from time to time, unlike you." "I don't need family visits. Just one mission with those three is enough for me." Vocami laughed then took a glance at the us, " Looks like they're getting bored, " She patted Baki on the shoulder and walked away from him, "See you later pal and good luck." "Yah..."
I plopped myslef on to one of our hotel beds, having my hands behinds my head. Grimu unwrapped his bandsages feeling the need to rest in this safe area while Boda was in the bathroom sobbing over her battle. She had put a good fight but the other person was better. "Someone should really calm her down," Grimu stated. "I know but if we do comfort her she'll only cry even more." As Grimu nodded Boda came out, she didn't look like she cried but we knew she did.
The next day we went to an open field somewhere, to practice on our jutsu's. Boda worked on her denfence moves, Grimu on his Taijutsu, and for me I worked on everything. Before practicing by ourselves Vocami made us go on a hunt for eachother. She blind folded us, taking us to different area's in the forest. When she left us she said, "When you hear a bird take off your blind fold."
As I took off mine, I looked over to see a river. The area was very refreshing and no place Boda or Grimu would go to. I had to get my surroundings and look for areas they ight be at, so I ran up a tree and sat on the top once I got the right amount of chakra in each foot. the view was outstanding, like a sea of fluffly green clouds. however it was disturbed by some kind of Chakra. 'did Grimu already find Boda or was he using one of his finding jutsu's.' It didn't mater; I found someones chakra and now I must go to it.
The chakra was different from Grimu's and Boda's, but I didn't want to stop here. As I got closer to the area I heard yelling and gossip. "Damn it, why won't it work," said a male voice. "I'm not helping you this time. Figure it out on your own," another male. "But you're smart. Hey, I'll help you get a girl." "I already have one dum a**. Anyway where's Nyatta?" "I think she went to get Rock Lee some Ramen." "Ah, has she even told him how she feels yet." "Nope."
Suddenly I heard panting behind me. On instinct I pounced the thing holding a kuntai at it's thoat. The object let out a girl-ish tone and soon stopped its' cry of shock. "Nyatta, I didn't know you liked girls!" "Shut up Marshi-kun!" The girl squrimed from under me like a ladybug trying to get out of a sipders web. Slowly I got off her and slide the weapon in it's pouch. "Who are you?" "Would it matter?" "Yes! You came out of no where and tackled me to the ground!" 'She's still annoying.' "I don't have time for this. I have to find Grimu and Boda." "You sound just like Sauske, " she paused being in thought, "Oh wait now I remember you. I have to fight you in the next arena." Comfirming her statement I nodded.
As the girl got up there was rustling in the brushes, it was only a squirrle though. "AAAHHH, a squirrle! Come here little one." "Don't go near it !" It was too late, the squirrle which was fake had a bomb inside it and it went off.
"Damn it, I missed." I smiled at Boda as she came out of her hiding spot. "Keep trying Boda. You'll get it-." A sudden stream of chakra came from the pony-tailed girl, "You killed that squirrle. How dare you, Rage detruction jutsu!
