So, yesterday in my American Studies class we began talking about Fascism in-depth. My teacher gave us a handout of the 14 fundamentals of fascism. Then we had to label which ones were similar to what our American government does today. Out of the 14, I picked 10. Most people got 6. Now I KNOW I'm not just a crazy liberal who absolutely hates our government. (Okay, I am, but that's not the point!) Seriously, there were so many obvious ones that people didn't think we do, such as: powerful and continuing nationalism (flags are seen everywhere), disdain for the recognition of human rights (torture), identification of enemies/scapegoats as a unifying cause (the terrorists), obsession with national security, religion and government are intertwined, and several others. Gah, I don't like the majority of my American Studies class. People are IDIOTS.

On a totally different note, I started looking at Dennis Kucinich's website and his views on certain issues (which can be found here).

I'm really starting to like Kucinich more. I really hope he makes it through the primaries. I would cry if he didn't. And I hope he gets the democratic nomination. We NEED him. ZOMG he's awesome. I really like him. I wanted Obama, but he's been pissing me off lately. All he does is attack Hillary and even though I want her even less (Kathleen and I want to make a candidate and name it "Not Hillary" wink it's been annoying me. The two of them just go at it. And I still like Edwards. He's not bad. But Kucinich is freaking awesome! Now that Stephen Colbert is out of the race ( rofl ) if I could vote, my vote would go towards Kucinich! (I definitely would voted for Colbert if he was still in the race though!)
