Lunar New year.
Every year I get to celebrate two new years, however, I only get breaks for one of the new year.
The Lunar new year is the one that I don't have break from schools.

But this is how we celebrate it:
It consist of three days in a row, not one day like the American.
First we always made food and left it at the shrine so that the Gods can eat them, we then take the food back once the Gods had "finish" eating them... Supposedly leaving it there for like 2 hours or something...
We also wish each other happy new year and that their year will be profitable and healthy. then The adults will give the children who wishes them a red bag with money in it. :] like say 1 or two dollars depending on the adult.
New year is when everyone is happy, so the debt that was due on New year day will be postpone till the three days after that... so are any other conflict that may happen...
:] so happy new year everyone... yes it's 1/27/09, one day late, but whatever, it's still new year to us!!! we have three days remember??? XD
