I had always loved you,
Too hard for me to tell.
You were always there for me;
You helped me out of my shell.

Sometimes you'd get angry,
Sometimes you'd understand.
Sometimes I'd open up to you
And hold you by the hand.

And when I was so deep in hate,
You hugged me near and close.
You didn't care that I was dangerous.
I loved you the most.

And then I hurt you, made you bleed
You kissed me on the lips.
And then I tasted happiness,
My very first true sips.

I felt myself return to normal
And I hugged you tight.
I knew you loved me for who I was,
And I felt so right.

I felt your tears on my red robe
And hugged you even tighter.
And with your words, "Are you alright?"
My heart just felt so lighter.

On that day I learned a lesson
Not to care who you are.
Because whether you are half or not,
We all are shining stars.
