He hadn't thought about her beyond fleeting thoughts for months.

She came back into his life under the ruse of trying to make up with the people she hurt.

He still cared for her deeply, so much so that some might call it love.

She kept making advances that he soon gave way to even though she was a married woman.

She kept pushing him into packing up his life to go live with her.

He soon remembered the negatives of their past.

He knew he wouldn't be a good father or step-father even if he cared about children, due to never having his own father figure in his life.

Even though they weren't his children he was still looking out for what would be best for them, even if it wasn't what either him or her wanted for themselves.

She now bitterly grudges him for toying with her feelings.

He now still wishes to see her one day, for better or worse.
