Rant 1: Professional anime images for RPCs
Yes, anyone who has visited the forums must have seen this at least once, a pic in someone's sig of their "roleplaying character". Perfectly normal yes, though it bugs me. If you haven't noticed, people use anime pics drawn by professionals, they never actually DRAW their own RPCs. An RP character is supposed to be like an original character in a way. It's not your character if you did not draw it. You're claiming someone else's work to be your own and most of the characters look pretty generic. You know, the typical angel girl with a lacey fluffy dress and abnoramally long hair or some fox girl in a skimpy outfit.
Seriously, if you're going to say you have an RPC, actually try to make one up yourslef rather than using someone else's work.
Trust me, I'd much rather see a crappy poorly drawn pic of a character you designed yourself as an oppose to a professional's hard work.
I'm so fed up with the laziness of this community. I really wish people would take more care when creating RPCs. If the pic you're using isn't your work, IT'S NOT YOUR FREAKING CHARACTER!!!
I'm other words, don't go posting in stride with a professional anime image and under it, the label: My RPC
Geesh.
Rant over.
