I suddenly awoke. My head pounding so hard I couldn’t think. I was in a bedroom, it had blue paint, and blue curtains, and posters of bands like, sick puppies, skillet, and three days grace. I turned my head and a sharp pain went threw my neck down my whole body. There I saw was a boy, he was sitting on a chair he looked like a regular boy he had curly brown hair and…he was asleep.
“Where am I?” I asked myself aloud. The boys head shot up. He had electric blue eyes.
“Your wake,” he said now looking at my neck.
“Where am I?” I said kind of shrinking my neck into my kind of damp t-shirt…I looked down there was blood on it.
“You don’t remember?” he asked. I just shook my head.
“This morning, you were walking to school, it was still dark. And Caroline was…well I guess you could say stalking you…when you were about to turn the corner and she lurched at you and bit you…”
“Wait, wait, wait…first who the hell is Caroline, and why did she bit me?”
“Caroline is a Vampire, she bit you for your blood.”
“Why.”
“You ask a lot of questions, because Haven, you are the descendent of Kathryn King, the most powerful vampire in the world…well not as powerful as Dracula. But pretty powerful.” He said.
“Wait what. Vampires aren’t real.”
“Haven. Vampires are really real, there as real as…well …dinosaurs.” He said smirking at the little antidote.
“Then who are you?”
“Well…were the people who found you, we were able to suck out the poison before it actually got all the way threw you.”
“We?” I said still in shock.
“My sister, her boyfriend, and I…I know this is a lot for you to handle but you need to trust me.” He said his eyes staring at me so sincere…I couldn’t say no…because deep down inside I did believe him. I nodded my head.
“Then we need to leave.” He said getting up and going to the door I could of swore he was in fast-forward.
“ What about my family, I can’t leave. And why do I need to leave anyways?” I said even thought my foster mom wouldn’t even know I’m gone…and if she would find out she would be glad I was gone…so she wouldn’t have to deal with a snot nose 17 year old anymore.
“ If Caroline found out that we helped you and she’ll be after you…and all of us…she thinks that if she had you to be her little slave, she will make you tell her Kathryn’s secrets and she will then be the most powerful vampire.”
“Ok…I’m still confused.”
“Good. The little you know the better. There’s a bathroom down the hall go take a shower, and my sister has clothes for you…she’s kind of a nut about that stuff so it will be kind of fashionable.”
