Love is a Myth-
Mkayla was 12 when her mother died. Two years later her father remarried to a woman named Caria Guwning. Her new mother struck her with a stick atleast 10 times a day if she didnt do as she was told. One night she slipped out of her winow and walked down the road to a near by beach. She climbed on top of a rock. She sat there watching the waves crash upon the shore and fade back. She wished she could fade away that fast. Suddenly she heard footsteps in the sand. They were soft footsteps. She turned and looked around, she saw nothing but the trees swaying to the summer breeze. She sighed as she turned back towards the ocean. To her surprise when she turned she saw a boy looking at her. She jumped when she saw him. "Hello" he said in a soft voice. She was sprised with how gentle his voice was. Usually they were all rough with her. She just sat there staring at his perfectly shaped face, lips, nose. How perfect his eyes were. "Well can you talk? Or does a cat have your tongue?" he asked while a smile formed on his lips. She smiled back and said "Hello". He smiled at her. "I'm Spencer" he said still smiling. "Nice to meet you Spencer. I'm Mkayla." she smiled a warm smile feeling happy for once. He sat next to her on the rock and they talked and talked. Mkayla lost track of time until she saw the sun was rising in the distance. She looked at her watch. It was 6:18 in the morning. Her father was sure to be waking up by now. "Oh no! Look at the time!! I must go. I'm sorry Spencer! Goodbye!!" she said and ran away.
Spencer watched Mkayla run away into the distance. 'wow. shes really cute' he thought. He hopped off the rock and started walking towards town. He sighed as he entered a cafe. He walked behind the counter and put on his apron and opened the cafe. It wasn't really busy as usual. When the bell on the door rang he got up and looked at the customer. It was Mkayla. He smiled when he saw her. She was looking at the floor when she came in. "Hello! Welcome. What can I get for you?" he said. She looked up quickly in surprise when she heard his voice.
Mkayla stared at Spencer. He worked at the cafe? She smiled warmly. "I need a donut and a vanilla hot chocolate." He smiled and said "Coming right up!" he got her order and said "2.36" she looked at him weirdly. "There mustbe some mistake! It should be 4.42." h just smiled and said "This is on the house!" she smiled and gave him the money. She sat at a table and began to eat her donut and drink her hot chocolate when......(TO BE CONTINUED!)
