If a magical genie decided to give me three wishes, I know what I would ask for. It didn’t take much thinking to make up my mind. Just some things I bet a lot of people want. I’d want a laptop, a house, and money for college. Something I really want, and have wanted for about 3 years, is a laptop. Not a netbook. I don’t like netbooks because they don’t have a disk slot. I can’t put any music from a CD on them, or any other disk-based programs. Like a tablet. The reason I want a laptop is because I am addicted to the internet. My brothers and sisters get on the home computer a lot. But if I had a laptop, then I could be online a lot more than I am now. I could visit my favorite sites, like Gaiaonline, Deviantart, and Facebook. I’d also play Dungeons and Dragons Online by Turbine more often. Actually, Turbine also makes a game called Asherons Call, which I used to play with my mom. I could be getting a free laptop from my mom soon. Her power isn’t working, something about a motherboard/drive thingy. She’s thinking of buying a new one for school and giving me her current one. According to a few people off Craigslist, the problem isn’t too expensive to fix. A laptop isn’t nearly as expensive as my other wishes, though. My next wish is a medium-small sized house with a front yard. I want two or three rooms, and a not so small kitchen. A while ago, I had a kitchen with barely enough room for one person. That was not fun. The reason it needs at least two rooms is so I can have one, and one is a guest room. Or my sisters, if Des ever wants to live with me. The reason I’d wish for a house is because houses are expensive. Someone told me that the average price for a house is two hundred thousand dollars. The average American makes 30 thousand dollars a year. If you sae every penny, and don’t spend anything, that’s more than 5 years worth of saving. I don’t want to owe someone any money, so saving is a more likely option for me. But I’m only so-so at saving. Usually, I don’t impulsively buy things, but I am not perfect, so I slip up sometimes. Anyway, houses aren’t cheap. But my next wish isn’t as expensive. My third wish is money for college. I say money because I’m not sure what I want to do or where I want to go to school. One of my earliest ideas was to be a park interpreter. At least, I think that’s what it’s called. Those people who dress up and act like a person from historical times. Like at the Conservation Site! They live in a cabin, dress like pioneers, and cook everything on a fire. The classes I would probably have to take are things like acting and history. Another job, one I’ve always liked, is a nurse. I enjoy helping people. Last summer, when I got my first set of stitches, my nurse was really nice. She talked to us, and gave me a popsicle after the doctor was done. I think chemistry is required for this job. That would be hard, but the studying would be worth it. My mom used to be some kind of nurse, I think. She’s an accountant now. My third with is probably the most complicated. My three wished are to have a laptop, a house, and money for college. I thought of those pretty quickly. They’re the things I really want. Why can’t a magical genie appear? That would be epic. Or a pixie. I like pixies.
