The Vampire And The Mortal: Part 9
Lucias continued to walk towards Lilly, his face still split in an ever growing smile as he became closer to her. His eyes still glowing bright red. As he drew nearer he began to put his hand out towards Lilly's right shoulder, grasping it quickly while putting his other free hand on the top of her head. Wrenching her head away from her shoulder he revealed her throat bare in front of his eyes, he slowly moved his mouth closer, his fangs bared and his eyes glowing brighter. Lilly was panicking now, she didn't want to die, she believed now that she was in way over her head. She awaited for Lucias to tear into her throat, but nothing happened. Lucias let go of her and fell backwards, his eyes now back to their usual dull red and his face white, not grey. He looked up at Lilly his eyes filled with shame as he got up swiftly and tried to run out of his own room, saying only one thing, in a voice that sounded close to breaking down in crying.
“I'm sorry Lilly.” He then made a dash for the main room, he then slowed down and collapsed into his black leather chair, looking up at the ceiling. He was ashamed of himself. He believed it was his fault that the only person that ever loved him nearly died at his hand. He couldn't control himself.
Lilly simply lent back against the closest wall, sliding down it slowly, a huge smile on her face as she did so. Her mind was once again buzzing with ideas, although she had fallen in love with the calm and peaceful Lucias she enjoyed the other side of him too, although she was happy she was debating with herself of which side of Lucias she preferred, as which one she preferred would determine her next course of action. As she thought this through she slowly put her left hand on the right side of her throat, feeling where Lucias would have bit her had he not regained control. She sighed and smiled slightly, looking through the corner of her eyes at her hand on her throat. Lilly eventually got up and walked down the stairs to speak to Lucias. When she got there she saw him looking blankly up at the ceiling, his hands closed tightly into fists.
“Lucias?” She slowly edged towards him, suppressing her slight smile, giving her a concerned look. “What was that?” Her voice as concerned as her face as she stood before him. Lucias moved his head so he was facing Lilly, his eyes full of shame. “I'm sorry Lilly, I couldn't control myself.” He stopped, gulped for a moment, then continued. “I don't think I should live with you any more, I'm putting you in danger just being here.” He slowly attempted to get up out of the chair, but Lilly grabbed his hand, stroking it slowly.
“Don't worry Lucias, I don't care if I'm in danger, as long as your with me I'm happy, if you leave then I will follow.” She smiled kindly at him, still gently stroking his hand. Lucias stayed where he was sat, making no effort to move as he did not want to have to force Lilly out of the way.
“Lilly, please, I need to go, its for your own good that I leave.” He made a weak attempt to get up. Lilly at first let him get up from the chair, only to then push his gently onto the black velvet settee, him landing on the left side, Lilly quickly jumping onto the right side. She quickly slid closer to Lucias, eventually almost sitting on his lap. She turned to face him totally, wrapping her arms around him and embracing him tightly, pulling her head towards his as if she was about to kiss him, but stopping when there was around two inches between them. Lucias spoke up “Lilly, I have to go I...” He was cut short by Lilly putting her finger of his lips as she pulled her face closer to his, though moving it to the side, so her mouth was level to his ear. She held him tighter as she began to speak.
“Lucias, please don't leave me, I wouldn't be able to stand life without you.” Her voice was filled with love and sadness, as if she was grieving Lucias's death. Just as Lucias was about to protest again she quickly pulled her face back to be looking at Lucias. She looked him lovingly in the eyes for only a moment before swiftly moving in to kiss him slowly and lovingly, holding him tighter as she did so.
Lucias responded to this by quickly wrapping one arm around Lilly's waist and putting the other on the back of her head, pulling her closer to him and kissing franticly. They stayed like this for around ten minutes, pausing every two minutes to breath, but never letting of each other. When they stopped they both laid down on the floor, Lilly in Lucias's arms. Lilly kissed him quickly once more before they slowly fell into a long and peaceful sleep, looking into each others caring eyes as they did. They both spoke the same words before they finally succumbed to slumber.
“I will never leave you.”
As the day rolled on Lilly and Lucias remained sleeping until the night came. The house slowly became dark as the two just lay on the floor in each others arms, breathing lightly as she slept. But once the moon was high in the sky Lucias awoke, his eyes glowing slightly as he felt the need to feed growing on him. As he attempted to get up he saw Lilly still sleeping peacefully next to him, her hair spread out behind her head like a lake of golden silk. Lucias simply smiled as he attempted to ignore the now dull pain that was growing in him, and laid back down, just looking at Lilly's face happily.
Lilly's eyes then started to open, her shining azure eyes betraying some kind of disappointment, until she saw Lucias lying next to her, her eyes then became full of joy as a smile slowly grew on her face. Lucias smiled back at her, slowly running his hand through her long yellow hair, his face fixed with love as he stared into her eyes. Lilly slowly sat up, her face showing no signs of fatigue. Her smile widened as she opened her mouth to speak.
“You need to feed again.” Her voice was manipulative and mildly seductive as she spoke, putting her left arm around Lucias, put keeping her right arm by her side. “Come on, admit it, you need to feed, you want to feed.” She stopped and pulled herself closer to Lucias, now wrapping her right arm around him as she shook her head, knocking the hair away from her throat. “You want to feed, on me.” Her smile grew again as she took her right arm off him, moving it slowly to be in front of his face. Instead of offering herself to him, this time she put her left arm around his head, pushing his face towards her wrist.
Lucias did not fight against her, he opened his mouth and willingly punctured her skin, blood seeping out of the wound and on to Lilly's almost pure white skin. Lilly now stopped pushing him and started to gently stroke his hair just as he had stroked her own. Her smile grew ever wider as she felt him bite deeper into her wrist and she began to feel his tongue attempting to take more blood from the slowly growing wound on Lilly's wrist. Lilly felt a small amount of pain as the wound began to grow. Lilly just kept stroking Lucias's long and jet black hair as he fed from her, knowing that Lucias would stop before the wound became a problem. He didn't. Lilly began to feel faint as more and more blood was drained by Lucias. Her skin became paler and paler, she began to look extremely ill. She began to feel weak and she attempted to call out, but her voice came out no louder then a whisper.
“Lucias, stop...” She began to look desperate.
“But, I'm still so hungry. But don't worry, I'll stop before it causes harm.” He looked up just as he spoke, his eyes glowing that orangery red again, his skin grey and his fangs seemingly longer then before. He quickly rammed his fangs back into her wrist, making two new puncture wounds, still licking the blood from the wound desperately.
Lilly began to lose the ability to stand up as she became very weak. She fell but Lucias caught her. He pulled his fangs from her wrist and licked what little blood there was left seeping from the wounds before laying her down gently on the settee, smiling slightly.
“I told you I would not harm you, I love you too much Lilly.” His skin became white again, almost as if he commanded it to, but his eyes remained bright red as he was still absorbing the blood. He looked down at Lilly as she looked at her weakly gazing into Lucias's eyes. She attempted to speak but she couldn't. “Don't worry, you will be fine, just rest for a while.” He smiled sweetly at her as he said those words in a sincere tone.
Lilly smiled as she slowly fell into an untroubled slumber, safe knowing now that Lucias would never leave her. Lucias knelt down and kissed her once more before he left the main room heading towards the door, his skin returning to the grey colour of his blood thirst. He walked quickly towards the front door, walking through it and shutting it silently.
His eyes grew brighter as he turned around, pulling his hat down slightly to cover his eyes to hide the bright glow. He smiled widely as he began to walk away showing his fangs, which now completely dominated his teeth. He began to speak to himself as he quickly stepped away from his home, his voice a mixture of anger, impatience and happiness.
“It's not enough.” His pace quickened as he began to feel the pain in his gut from hunger, although he had just fed, he still needed blood. His eyes lit up further as he walked towards The Scarlet rose, in a desperate attempt to try and get control of his blood hunger. He began to stop walking and begin to run as the pain continued to grow. He began to feel confused, he had never needed to feed this badly, the confusion made worse by the fact he had only moments ago drank a large amount of blood. Soon he fell, clutching his stomach from the pain of the growing hunger inside of him. A woman came towards him, offering to help him out of the kindness of her heart. She got no real reply, all she was given for her kindness was a pair of long pearly white fangs in her throat and a feeling of euphoria as she slowly got all of her blood drained from her as she died slowly.

The Vampire And The Mortal: Part 8
Lilly awoke as the light of the sun fell lightly on her pale yet healthy skin, her sapphire eyes opening slowly, gleaming with anticipation for the new day. She had almost totally forgot the nightmare which had haunted her the night before. She instantly and happily jumped out of her bed and changed her clothes from her night clothes to a black T-Shirt and faded blue jeans. She then walked quickly out of her room, closing the door almost silently behind her, and then proceeded to move swiftly from her room to Lucias's, being slightly sneaky when she got closer to his door as she wished to surprise him.
The surprise almost didn't work when Lilly opened Lucias's door to see him sat on the edge of his bed with his head down towards the ground. She was expecting a loud greeting but instead she heard silence, for though Lucias was not lying down he was still sleeping while wearing his top hat and carrying his cane. His eyes where shut and his breathing was very light, almost completely silent. Lilly smiled slightly and made her way around Lucias to then sit on his bed next to him, her face also pointing towards the floor but she was looking at him fro out of the corner of her eye. While she saw him sleeping she smiled cutely, she found it hard to comprehend that this man, who was now sleeping like a tired child during a long car trip, was the same man who had killed her friend and drank her own blood. Though this did not shock her, she enjoyed viewing the huge comparison between Lucias when he was feeding and when he was happily snoozing.
Lucias slowly opened his eyes as he began to awaken. He smiled lightly, happy that the first thing he saw when he woke up was Lilly. He moved to get up from the end of the long and old bed only to crash onto his knees as he was struck with a huge stabbing pain. His face suddenly became twisted with pain as he doubled over clutching his stomach.
Lilly looked at Lucias, first in concern, but then her odd wiry smile split across her cheeks as she stood up and slowly moved over to Lucias, kneeling down to be at his level.
“You need to feed again don't you?” Her smile widened as she looked at him, his teeth grated as he tried to block out the pain, his skin turning a slightly greyish colour as if he was deadly ill, but the most obvious sign he needed to feed, his pupils glowed with a kind of orangey red. Lucias looked to the side of him at Lilly, his face slightly angry now as he prepared to shout at her.
“You're acting like you enjoy seeing me like this!” He bellowed loudly, only to feel another sharp sting of pain shoot through his body, causing him to clutch his stomach tighter and grit his teeth harder. Lilly simply put her finger to his mouth and spoke, her voice slow and manipulative.
“I do not enjoy seeing you in pain Lucias.” She put her bare wrist in front of his mouth as an invitation for him to drink her blood. “But I do enjoy this.” Her smile grew as she waited for Lucias to bite into her wrist and drink her blood, an event which she looked forward to now. Unlike when she still believed Lucias was human and he had to leave every night, a time when she was deeply upset every time he left, now she was always excited about Lucias's nightly feeds, as she did deeply enjoy being his “donor” She pushed her wrist towards Lucias's top lip, in an attempt to entice him into biting her.
Lucias at first tried to resist Lilly's offer, knowing that feeding from her wrist could do some damage to her, but the pains from his hunger where terrible so he gave in to them and his vampritic instincts. His eyes began to glow brighter as he opened his mouth, his pearly white fangs shimmering slightly in the light. He stopped, he closed his mouth and pulled his head away from Lilly's wrist.
“No, I won't do it, I won't hurt you.” He looked away from her. He was then suddenly hit with another strong wave of pain, as if a punishment for being so close to feeding and refusing. Lilly simply smiled and got up, withdrawing her wrist. She walked over a an old wooden chest of drawers and wrapped her hand around the brass handle of the top left drawer, her smile widening as she pulled it open.
“Don't worry Lucias, I know how to make you want to feed so desperately you won't care if you hurt me.” Her voice was slightly patronising and sarcastic as she said those words. Her face was split more by a smile that was filled with some deranged glee, as she pulled out a knife from the drawer and placing it swiftly in to her left hand. Her thin and wiry smile grew to almost seem like a line dividing her face as she walked slowly towards Lucias, her right hand closing the drawer as her left hand turned the knife constantly. Lilly knelt down in front of Lucias once again, putting her right wrist up and moving the knife towards it with her left. She slit her wrist in one quick and elegant movement, wincing for a second in pain, but her face instantly returned to a smile as she offered her bleeding wrist to Lucias once more, knowing that he could not resist it now that he could see and smell her blood from the wound.
Lucias was about to object to what Lilly was doing, but he was stopped, instead he just looked at the crimson drops of blood falling slowly from the cut on Lilly's wrist. He was suddenly hit with constant waves of intense pain as he stared at her blood, dropping from her wrist to the carpet. He opened his mouth slowly and stuck out his long and knife like tongue, moving it slowly towards the wound.
Lilly smiled as she saw Lucias move closer to the blood. She believed herself safe in the fact that Lucias could not resist an offering of blood if he could see it and smell it. Her smile grew wider still as he began to lick the blood from the surface of the wound After ten minutes Lucias had taken enough blood but he continued to suck blood from the cut until, another three minutes later, Lilly pulled her hand away from Lucias, a smile wide on her face.
“There Lucias, feeling better?” She was smiling normally now, though there was a slight change in her voice, a slight secretive quality. Lucias licked up the last of the blood that was left on his lips, smiling slightly, his eyes still burning red. He spoke quickly, his smile not kindly but that of a mad man, his eyes looking at Lilly hungrily.
“I am not finished, I want more.” His eyes began to grow brighter as he got up and walked towards Lilly, his smile parting, showing his two long and gleaming fangs to the world. Lilly smiled slightly maliciously back at Lucias, closing her eyes slightly as she began to talk. “Now Lucias, you can't have all my blood, or you'll be alone.”

The Vampire And The Mortal: Part 7
Lucias was still staring at the wall five minutes after the kiss, his face split in a smile but his eyes seemingly confused and scared, he had little understanding of humans, let alone how to react after having a human display its love for him so blatantly. He continued to look blankly at the wall for a moment more before he heard Lily's soft and kind voice calling him from the main room, requesting his presence in a happy voice. Lucias was instantly snapped out of his trance of solid thought and responded to the call, moving quickly into the main room and sitting on the velvet settee that Lilly was already curled up on.
Lilly was sat resting against the left side of the settee with her right hand curled up in a fist in an attempt to not stain the settee with the blood seeping from the small wound on her index finger Once Lucias sat down she moved to be resting on him, her right hand remained curled up into a fist but her left hand was holding onto Lucias's shoulder. As Lilly looked up Lucias looked down at her, smiling kindly, Lilly returned with a smile, but this smile was different. This smile was thin and seemingly being repressed as she grinned. Then Lilly began to speak slowly.
“How do I taste Lucias? Nice?” Her voice was as thin as her smile but filled with a deceitful tone. Her smile grew wider as she waited for a response. But to that question no response came, only another question as a shocked Lucias spoke quickly.
“Is something wrong Lilly? You seem a bit odd today.” His eyes where now not betraying signs of confused but of concerned for Lilly's health. Lilly stopped for a second to gather her thoughts and then began to reply. “
“It must be the shock from yesterday I am still recovering from it.” She smiled in her usual way, her voice returning to normal also, only to change back instantly as she asked again. “How do I taste?” She looked him in the eyes, though Lucias saw not the eyes of the girl he had fallen in love with, but the eyes of some one different, some one commanding, who could not be denied any request. Lucias spoke quickly.
“Yes, your blood tasted delicious.” He smiled slightly, hoping that those words were what Lilly wanted to here, and they where. She smiled her usual wide smile as she put her bleeding hand around him and hugged him tightly before realising him from the embrace and running up the stairs into her room, as soon as she entered she slammed the door quickly, her smile growing wider across her face as she fell backwards onto her bed, her face staring straight up at the ceiling. She slowly spoke as her eyes began to close themselves. “We will be together forever, no matter how much he needs to feed he can just drink my blood, so he will never have to leave me.” She slipped into a n uneasy sleep.
Lucias shifted into the middle of the settee and looked directly upwards thinking. He was extremely confused by Lilly's strange behaviour, mainly the fact that she offered his blood to her even after seeing what he had done to one of her best friends, he knew she was obsessed with vampires but to offer your own blood happily to the person who just killed one of her best friends in front of her eyes is insane. The only reason Lucias accepted her blood was because he needed to feed and he could not control himself and he now regrets it as he believed he was just fuelling her obsession by telling her openly. He then made a realisation, it occurred to him that she may not have wanted him to leave her side, and was desperate to be with him, either because she loved him or because she was worried about any damage he could cause. He smiled as he believed it to be the latter. He slowly closed his eyes and began slip into a peaceful sleep.
Lilly's mind was full of ideas as she slept, filling her sleep with nightmares, all of her thoughts of vampires pushed to the extremes. She Saw Lucias smiling, his smile splitting his face, showing at least ten rows of razor sharp teeth, looking at her as he moved slowly towards her. He grabbed her neck and the top of her head, jerking her skull away from her neck, moving her hair away then pulling his head back stupendously far, only to slam it into Lilly's throat, causing blood to go everywhere in a ocean of blood and screams as Lilly cried for help. A darkness came upon her.
She was then sat in a cage, with darkness around her, a stabbing pain in her gut that felt like hunger and thirst. She reached out desperately for some food near her, only to then see her hand, deathly pale, she looked into a water bowl that was near her food and she saw a very thin woman with jet black eyes and disgustingly white skin staring back at her. She looked at the woman in horror, only to moments later realise this pitiful creature she saw was a reflection of her self. A single tear ran down her face and landed in the water bowl, which then turned into blood, not only the water, but the bowl itself melted away into a puddle of blood. Lilly called out for help as now the floor had turned into a sea of blood, and the sea was rising. As it slowly roes towards her torso she screamed again for help, looking at the tide of blood slowly creeping further up towards her face.
She screamed in vain, for in the darkness it was not heard by a single soul, her situation became grave as the blood had risen to her throat. She screamed again as the blood went over her face, she believed she was to die, she closed her eyes and waited for the inevitable.
She awoke screaming, cold beads of sweat falling from her fore head, breathing heavily she looked around the room, attempting to prove that it was her room and not another nightmare, noticing that yellow light was pouring in through the opened door. A moment after she awoke she felt something holding her, like a ring around her, keeping her still. She looked to her left to see Lucias hugging her strongly, looking at her. “Its okay, it was only a dream.” He smiled at her as he got up, kissing her gently on her ruby red lips and walking out of the room. As he clutched the door handle he turned around and spoke in a caring and kindly way. “If you ever have a terrible nightmare again, tell me, its better then keeping it to yourself.” As he slowly closed the door the light that was flooding into the room disappear, and Lilly slept peacefully until the morning light.
