Love, Gimme love, gimme love, I don't need it...
❥✖[My other cat kiddie became very Anemic yesterday evening and needed a blood transfusion. It turns out that she has the very rare blood type B. Cats have three blood types; A, B, and Ab. Blood type A is the most common of these types. The other two are so rare that only 3% of all cats in the world have it. That means that 97% have A type blood. Typically, purebred cats have this blood type (B), but Miss "Kiddie" [my cat] was a kitten found in a dumpster 10 years ago. I bottle fed her! She is not purebred, or I am sure she wouldn't have been found in the dumpster. She is just one of those rare occurances where she has that blood type. It was very very difficult to find donors for this type of blood (including type Ab) and if you cannot get it locally, it can cost a very pretty penny to have sent to your vet. Know beforehand what blood type your animal is, so your vet can be prepared for a possible transfusion in the future, or so you (if you do not have a regular vet) can tell the doctors beforehand what type she needs. She will very likely make it until the blood gets here, I hope she will be okay!]❥✖
But I'll take what I want from your Heart and I'll keep it..
