THE STORY: With the construction of the Wizard's Tower and the creation of a powerful Glowstone Core, it seems as though huge, ancient constructions have begun surfacing all over the world. The first of the structures to appear surfaced not far away from the Wizard's Tower, and appears to be a huge maze! Whatever is hidden deep inside the structure must have been precious to warrant this kind of protection. It's likely to be dangerous inside, so you shouldn't approach The Great Maze without the approval of EvilLemon45 or Trinkun. They will prepare you for your journey, however the maze prevents more than one person from entering at a time, so they will monitor your progress from outside. Maybe if you can conquer the challenges within, you'll be able to take back a little of the rewards for yourself...
THE CHALLENGE: Within the Great Maze there are 4 zones. To pass the first you much search for the Redstone Torches required to open the doors and proceed to the next area. The second floor is another maze, much larger and more dangerous than the first. Make sure that you keep an eye on your health, and keep an eye out for hidden chests - they contain goodies that will help you through the trials. Once the second floor has been passed, one more maze stands before you. Who knows what you will encounter within the abyss? The forth zone is an unknown area, and it's mysteries are hidden to everyone but those who created the structure, although rumour has it that you can hear the howls of demons, supposedly emanating from within that room.
THE REWARD: EvilLemon45 and Trinkun will record the time it takes for you to complete The Great Maze, and although everyone will receive prizes for participating, the person to complete the trials the fastest will receive even more rewards for their amazing strength and wisdom. Those participating will recieve 2 Apples, 5 Iron Ingots, 32 Torches, 5 Glowstone and 500 coins. The fastest Shifter will receive, on top of their participation prize, 5 Glowstone, 1 Golden Apple, 5 Netherrack and 3000 coins.
TO PARTICIPATE: Make a post here saying when you'd like to take the challenge, and if either EvilLemon45 or trinkun can make it, we'll accept and meet you there. Alternatively, say to one of the two in-game that you'd like to take the challenge, and they'll escort you to the maze.
THE DEADLINE: The power of the Wizard's Tower's Glowstone Core is temperamental, so it is unknown how long The Great Maze will remain standing, however it appears as though the rewards for completing its trials will stop being given out at midnight (GMT) of the 31st July.
THE WINNERS: Keesune, Ten_Tonne_Brick and LiveFromArkham all completed the maze, nabbing themselves some nifty prizes, however the top banana was Ten_Tonne_Brick, who's won the grand prize!
