So, we had to do a school poem for poetry in english class.
I worked really hard on it and I like it...
“Schools are Prisons”
Schools are prisons
It’s all the a routine, all the same
Our generation is lost
Little girls wearing skimpy, revealing skirts
Their innocent faces powdered in masks
So they can impress their boyfriends
When they reach high school, they’re either or pregnant, promiscuous, or drop out
Schools are prisons
Our generation is blind
Little boys believe violence and disobedience is law
When they reach high school, they’re in trouble with gangs or drugs
Even getting killed or watching their friends die
They end up dropping out or in Juvenile Hall
Schools are prisons
Violence is creed
And terror is sacred
It’s clear, it’s all so clear
I don’t belong here
Our generation is lost
No future…
Schools are lost
