Stretching my mind:
I was really little when we headed to the pound. Seeing all the sad faces of the dogs made me want to take them all home. Until we found the perfect dog. It was love at first sight when we met Bailey. heart She was a brown lab/austrailian sheperd mix. She was adorable! We kept loving on her for years and years.
One day, she couldn't stand up on the hardwood floors. The vet said that she had arthrietes in her leg, so she could barely walk. My parents made the decision to put Bailey out of her misery. The vet gave Bailey the shot, and she laid her head down and died. cry People say that when a person or animal dies, they look peaceful. Not Bailey. She just looked dead. crying Eyes wide open as if to be in shock, and tongue hanging out of her mouth as if she were looking out the window of our car.
Her death was hard on all of us. Bailey had been there ever since my sister and I were babies. I miss her so much. crying
Since her death was hard, we went ahead and got a new dog, Marmaduke. He didn't last long. He was hit by a car and his leg was badly injured. We had to give him back. The neighbors found him lying in the road and took him home, only later that night to return him to us. cry
Lady was our next dog. Thankfully, we still have her. After about a year of owning her, we decided to get her a playmate: another ausie (austrailian sheperd). We called him Bentley. Bentley didn't last long either. He was mistaken for a blue murrel ausie, but really he was a different dog who was an alpha dog. A one and only pet kind of dog. Gave him up too.
Thus, ending the first entry.
