Snow swirled and the wind howled on that day, the day I will never forget, the day I met him, Sasuke. I was running for the sheer joy of running, the snow made me get lost and I didn’t see the cliff. I don’t remember running, all I remember was falling and the feeling of pain, as if I was rolling down a cliff face. Suddenly I wasn’t falling anymore; I felt arms around me, catching me, holding me.
When I woke up I was in a dark place, I smelled something cooking. When I looked around I saw him he was leaning over a hastily built fire, we were in a cave. He looked up when I moved, my heart caught when I saw his face, so full of sorrow and heartache it almost hurt, I saw a mask go up when he looked up. “So, you’re awake.” He said in an off-hand manner “I didn’t think you would be awake by now, since you’re so scrawny.” I glared at him, he chuckled. “You have spirit that’s for sure.” He commented with a half-smile that was clearly made to annoy me. Footsteps made me swivel around. Even though the person was in shadow I had no trouble recognizing him, the shadow on this land, Orochimaru the Killer. I shrank back in disgust. Sasuke grinned at me “Oro-sama I don’t think she is afraid of you, in fact she is merely disgusted by your presence, I think we should keep her.” He said with his half-smile. “Oh, you may be right, but what’s the use of a defenseless brat?” Orochimaru commented reaching for my chin and jerking it up roughly and looking into my eyes, I truly detested this man. I yanked my head away and punched him, or tried to all I managed to get was a sore fist. Orochimaru laughed. “Oh yes, lets keep her!” Sasuke grinned in triumph at Orochimaru clearly happy that he got his way and not really caring that he was stuck with me now; in fact I wondered if he even remembered I was in the room. I knew I was wrong when he turned to me. “So you’re living with me now.” He said, once Orochimaru left, with a raised eyebrow. “Ha! Some people might get ideas.” He commented with his half smile. “If they do it’s your fault dobe!” I muttered under my breath, remembering that this was a former konaha ninja that had supposedly would kill then ask questions later (if at all)and had killed many needlessly. “Just the fact that you didn’t kill me would bring questions to many lips.” I sneered. He chuckled “Ah, so it would seem!”
