((I WORKED HARD ON THIS...but the stupid RP this was made for failed because those idiots couldn't rp worth crackers...so do me a favor. Give me my dignity! READ ALL OF THIS AND COMMENT!!!!))
A brand new persocom was set in the empty room. Dorm number thirteen had been deserted ever since the previous year when a persocom had malfunctioned and injured a Ronin to the point where the boy was in critical condition. He was rushed to the hospital, and has recovered since, but after such an unexplained tragedy Ronins have steered clear of room thirteen. The headmaster of the school figured that the temptation of a new persocom was the only way to get one of the Ronins to agree to stay in dorm 13.
This particular persocom was a 10768 model, the newest version of ComCast’s seasoned edition of dolls. In fact it was so new that a persocom of this caliber could only be purchased on the black market. In a desperate attempt to get someone...anyone...to inhabit dorm 13, the headmaster had secretly spent the fundraiser money to buy this illusive model.
The persocom was placed carefully on the end of the bed. She was propped up against the wall with her hands folded neatly on her lap. She was an average sized persocom, approximately 5’6 with the customized looks of what a real girl in her late teens would have looked like. Her long legs and killer curves would attract anyone’s attention. Her synthetic skin was soft and pale, like a porcelain doll. Her cheeks were tinted with a shade of pink, making her seem incredibly real. In contrast with her fare complexion, jet-black hair laid perfectly around her face, flaring out just above her shoulders.
A pair of white and pink toned doll ears protruded from her head, giving her a somewhat catlike appearance. What were even more captivating were her eyes. Even though they were gently closed at this point, her soft black lashes still and motionless, it had been rumored that the 10768 models had been created with feline-slit eyes.
The persocom had been delivered fully dressed in a form-fitting maid’s outfit. A black silk collar had been strapped around her slender neck, with a small silver tag dangling from it. In the past, ComCast had always equipped the persocoms with a tagged collar that had the engraved name of the doll on the thin metal attachment, but do to a recent online poll --taken from men that own persocoms or would purchase one in the future-- ComCast’s recent shipment of persocoms to various countries had a blank tag. That meant that it was left up to the owner to choose a name for the doll. ComCast’s supervising manager figured this would give the men a better sense of ownership over their persocom.
So there she was, a brand new limited edition persocom. The black and white maid dress draped beautifully over her legs, the sleek fabric folding and tumbling in just the right places. The front of the dress was held together by soft white ribbons that crisscrossed over her chest in a corsette fashion. Te entire outfit was made of German silk, with the exception of the laced apron-like detailing on the front and frilled petticoat that underlined the hem of the dress.
The dress only came down past the upper half of the persocom’s thigh, so she had been delivered with a pair of sheer white stockings that reached up to her knees. Though she was completely dressed and finished off with synthetic black nail polish and a pretty black bow in her hair above her persocomic ear, she was not wearing shoes. A pair of high-heeled shoes were placed on the ground by the bed for when she was awakened. Even if her future owner chose to use her for household purposes and mathematic equivancy, she would remain pleasing to the eye.
Though she sat there in the darkened room, the persocom had no ability to sense that she was alone...not yet anyway. She had no thoughts, no anticipation for someone to wake her up. She had not begun to live. So even thought she could not perceive it, she was in fact waiting for a Ronin to activate her...awaken her from her potentially eternal nonexistent slumber.
To take care of some of the confusion, ComCast had included a small card entailing what could be expected of this specific persocom. The card was placed beside where she sat and read as follows:
Program Personality: This particular doll has two modes. Depending on which mode you select when this doll is first activated, she will respond accordingly:
Tool: If this mode is selected, your 10768 limited model persocom will merely carry out orders such as cleaning, cooking, and helping out around the house in whatever way you see fit. Her intelligence will be preset to a high level if this mode is chosen. She will be academically superior to her master, but the downside is that her emotions will be set at such a low level that it may appear that she has none at all. She will simply do what is asked of her...nothing more, nothing less. You won't wake up to a goodmorning smile, but this mode will get your work done.
Toy: If this mode is selected, your 10768 limited model persocom’s intelligence will be preset to a slightly lower level than that of a tool-mode, but her shy playful nature will surely make up for it. Whether treated kindly or ordered around in a firm tone, she is capable of accomplishing household tasks. Her emotional level is raised above the normal status of a doll, which makes her particularly desirable. With this particular doll, it is difficult to predict how she will react in this mode, because she will respond to the way you treat her.
