Eventually, after deep thought, I wandered downward into the catacombs of the Citadel. Usually there is a demonic rat around here, so I didn't pay much attention to scuffling noises. Despite the inhabitants of this area, my room is down this passage. But, when I moved along, a shuffling noise followed exactly as I stepped. I stopped, as did it. Before I could turn around, there was an attack, followed by a sickening crunch of my wing and foot. No doubtedly I screamed in pain and collapsed. When I looked up, and could see through the curtain of pain, the face of my assaliant was...another Dark Angel! It may have been a Vampire though, for I was dizzy, and blacked out soon after.

When I came to, I was in my room, alone, with a cast on my right wing and left foot. I looked around dazed, and saw nothing was out of order. My red velvet curtains were still drawn, and my black satin bedspread was wrinkled from myself. All in all, the room would have been depressing to any normal Angel. But then again, I am not normal, considering I run the army, and am practically a child in our terms. A new object on my nightstand caught my attention. It was a note with a rose seal. As I went to break the seal, a knock was at my door. I hid the note hastily and said "Come in!" As the visitor entered, I found it to be a...something. It was my attacker! Even in light, I still cannot tell if he is friend or foe. Then he seemed to vanish into mid-air as my companions ran noisily down the corridor.

"We heard you got hurt, are you alright?" Kit asked. What an idiotic question. If I got hurt, of course I am not alright. "I'm fine, Kit. Just a broken wing and foot. That's what I get for missing the stairs." At that statement, they all surged in the door. Apparently, they were stuck. At some point, they all were blown inward by someone pushing them from behind. I still had the note under my bedspread, and if they were making enough commotion, I could put it under my pillow and sit up. As I predicted, the fall made them all louder and confused. I slipped the note under my satin pillow without anyone noticing. Eventually, the madness died down a bit, and I could listen to their rantings.

Evidently, someone was told a threat was made for war. I waited for all of them to stop talking at once, so I could. "All of us know that war awaits us all. It is only a matter of time, and now it has come. Those harpies will pay dearly for the destruction they have caused to everyone, especially me. Kit, rally the troops, we attack at dawn!"
