Episode 2: Unsolved Mysteries, Unfold Love
A/N: So here we are, yet again. Into some random place I dunno about. Sad, isn’t it? Anyways, other than working on some minor details on this series and working on two New Years piccus (one of ToMaTo, a pairing from Digimon Savers, and one of GCA and TE4, another story of mine) Noting much has been going on. Wednesday starts school, but not before the beloved Yurimon’s birthday on the 2nd of January. So happy early b-day!!
Disclaimer: I own no digimon. I only imagine I am Hongo-sama. I am such a stalker. And Yurimon belongs to my girlfriend.
Warning: Once again, it’s yuri. Y’know, as in two girls doing stuff that can for now only be written. HAW~!! So if you feel queasy over things like that, turn back… or take some pills where the symptoms may include upset stomach, fatigue, loss of appetite, diarrhea, and in rare cases death. But I’m sure you don’t want to take that pill just to read this story, so press your back button.

“Celery?”
Donni snapped out of her sudden daydream as Yurimon handed the girl a piece of celery. After the fight with Growlmon, Yurimon promised Donni she would explain what’s this anarchy world and how did she get here-- during a nice relaxing picnic.
The puzzled girl took a small bite of celery and spit it out immediately. “Uhh-- you wouldn’t happen to have peanut butter, would you?”
Yurimon smiled and nodded, taking a look inside the picnic basket. “All right, time to explain myself. This is called the Digital World, where monsters made of data live.”
“Is that so?” Donni thought out loud, taking another tiny bite. Another discharge and a glass of water took care of her problem.
“Uh-huh.” Yurimon answered as she pulled out the peanut butter jar. “Lesse… there was a prophecy for me, since no one knows exactly what I am.”
“…” Donni looked down at the celery as Yurimon continued.
“The prophecy stated that I would be able to help save the digital world, along with a digimon partner.” she unscrewed the top of the jar. “Only reason why they said me is because I’m the only new Digimon with an unknown species. Vaccine, data or virus? I’m still a little unsure.”
“There was, however, a digimon who was also very much unknown, named Dorumon.” Donni’s device reported. “He, when turned into the mega formed Alphamon, is not only a royal knight, but the leader of the royal knights--”
“Wait.” Yurimon interrupted. Donni looked up while Yurimon thought for awhile. “The prophecy also stated that I would be fighting a Royal Knight who goes by the Ultimate King Dragon? Is that Alphamon?”
A moment of silence before the device answered back. “I’m afraid so, Yurimon. But the miracle of the digiworld has always been a bond between a man and mon, so maybe this time, the digital world can be saved. It’s up to Donni to keep Digiworld away or towards Apocalypse.”
“And I’m still not getting why me?” Donni blurted out.
“It’s part of the prophecy.” he device answered again.
Donni thought for a second. “I don’t think I’m quite getting it. Mind throwing that back at me again?”
Yurimon giggled and pointed at the human. “It means you are the Chosen One, silly. With my help, we both have a chance to lead the digiworld to its future.”
“So I’m guessing there is no choice for me to go home or not, huh?” Donni asked. “You see, I heard Yurimon’s voice when she was under attack by that demon digimon. My job in the human world is to make sure every female is happy.”
Yurimon frowned and sighed. “The human world, huh? It was told I was from the human world, but since I have no memory of it, I assume I’m from here.” she finally handed Donni the jar as the human spread the peanut butter on her celery and took a bite.
“I-- I’m sorry to hear that.” Donni replied. “Anything I can do to help you regain your memory?”
The digimon looked down and shut her eyes. “I don’t think there’s much anyone can do about it at the time being.”
Feeling helpless, Donni took another bite of her celery and thought for a moment. “The prophecy never stated anything about it?”
“It’s a curse.” Yurimon replied, licking her fingers. “They said my DNA was tacked with a digimon spirit. That was all. We’re still unsure about how to break the curse.”
“I’m sorry.” Donni apologized again. Feeling worthless about Yurimon’s problem was not going to break the curse, but she didn’t know what to do.

“Help! Someone help; I can’t swim!!”
Its too late.
She couldn’t swim. She didn’t know how. Desperate to keep herself alive, she attempted to kick herself up. Her heartbeat pounded louder and louder by each minute, telling her there wasn’t much time left before…
“Help… somebody help me!! Please!!!”
At seven years old, the young girl could do nothing but flail her little arms around, hoping someone would rescue her. Donni was freezing in the ice water, and she was quickly losing energy. Her legs finally gave up and she yelled out to the sky one more time before she started to sink into the chilly water.
Her vision was getting blurry, but she could see a shadow. A shadow coming for her. Someone came to save her…
~*~*~*~*~
“Hey, Donni? You okay?”
The girl snapped back to reality and listened to her heartbeat. Thumping loudly as it did when her life was almost taken away right before her eyes, she took a few deep breaths and turned back to Yurimon, who was unrepentantly setting the back of her hand to her forehead. “Seems you caught a fever. Are you sure you’re--”
Blushing, the girl slapped Yurimon’s hand away from her forehead quickly. “Sorry-- I’m gonna be fine. Don’t worry.”
“Hope so, you had me worried!” Yurimon replied, smiling.
Donni smiled weakly in response and looked down to see her half bitten celery on the picnic blanket. “I’m sorry I can’t--”
“Hey.” Yurimon interrupted. “It’s okay, really. Maybe in time, we’ll know how to break the curse. But right now you shouldn’t be stressing over it. I’m not.”
The girl nodded and stood up. “Yes, you’re right. What we should really be focusing on is how to beat this Alphamon guy. Any ideas?”
Putting her tea together, Yurimon said “I know a digimon that might be able to help. He knows a lot of things-- actually, him and a couple of others told me how this prophecy thing works.”
“Is that so?” Donni asked as Yurimon offered her a cup of tea. The girl declined and looked up. “So? Who is this mystery guy?”
“His name is Susanoomon.” she spoke up. “He can be found in the Mega Arena. Maybe we should head there when the picnic is over.”
“…” Donni paused for a moment and yelped, jumping in front of Yurimon.
“Yikes! What’s with the glomp attack?” Yurimon exclaimed as the two fell onto the floor.
“DUCK!” she yelled as a giant red insect flew above them. It landed on the ground and positioned himself for an attack.
“What is that thing?” Donni trembled. She pointed the insect at the device she had laying on the floor and static was shown before there was a clear vision of the insect, along with some information about him.
“ Kabuterimon, champion” the device replied. “A vaccine insect digimon. Main attack is Mega Blaster; alternatives include Blink thrust, Beet Horn and danger sting.”
Donni nodded to herself as she looked at Kabuterimon, then at Yurimon. “I want to help Yurimon. But this world is still a bit confusing. How is she able to--”
“Now.” it replied, glowing a bright green. “If either of you are near danger, Yurimon will be able to digivolve.”
“Cool.” she replied, and Yurimon once again shone white, with data circling her.
“Yurimon digivolve to GirlonGirlmon!”
The digimon landed softly on the ground and pointed her wand at the digimon. “All right, let’s go!”
Kabuterimon, a bolt of lighting merging from his head, shot it towards Yurimon. “ Mega Blaster!” The girl jumped up and raised her wand in the air as the bolt of lighting landed on the previously stood spot. “All right, Kabuterimon, lemme show you what I can do! Blossoming Rainbow!” the familiar lights fluttered in the sky as the light encircled the digimon. A roar later, the light drove away as a small egg appeared substituting Kabuterimon.
Donni pointed her device at the digimon standing. “GirlonGirlmon, champion; A vaccine Holy-Beast digimon. Main attack is Blossoming Rainbow; alternatives include the Elemental blast.”
“I thought this was going to be easier.” GirlonGirlmon replied, sighing in disappointment. She de-volved to Yurimon as the girl walked towards the picnic table. “All of that trouble of ruining our picnic and he isn’t even tough! What a shame.”
Donni chuckled and walked towards the digimon as the egg flew above the sky. “Let’s say we head towards the arena, huh? Susanoomon isn’t gonna come here himself, is he?”
“I’m afraid not, hon.” Yurimon replied. “We’re on our own.”
“Sucks.” Donni replied, blushing once again. She pressed a few buttons on the device as a map lead the way towards the Mega Area. “This would have made this journey a lot easier.”
“Nothing’s gonna be easy.” Yurimon pointed out. “Remember that.”

A/N: DONE! YAY~!! I should have posted this before I set off to Atlanta, but I wanted to change some minor details to this story. The device wasn’t supposed to name digimon yet until Susanoomon told Donni how to work the gadget, and like a dream come true, The Mega Ancient Digimon was supposed to speak to them through the digivice. But I guess that’ll hold off ‘til the next chapter, Nyaa??
Anyways, in chapter 3, the team arrives at The Mega Arena, where Susanoomon tells the legend of the prophecy and how to beat Alphamon. But trouble strikes again when a berserk Greymon attacks. This is unlike the previous two they fought; he’s much stronger and corrupted by darkness by Alphamon. See what happens in Digimon Chaos!
