Week Twenty-Three: 3MC's and One DJ Hey guys - another week full of news. I'll try and cover some of the key stuff here, though there's always too much going on for me to really cover it all! Holiday Contest My Holiday Contest is running through the next couple of weeks! OMG! It's PTAG! Some of you may be familiar with PTAG (People Talking About Gaia), which is a user-run podcast about stuff that's been going on at Gaia. This past Saturday I had the honor of doing a voice interview with the members of PTAG. Once the important people here have a chance to listen to it and decide what stuff I say is stupid or secret and needs to be edited out, it will be released for you all to download and learn crazy Gaia secrets! Be sure to subscribe to that thread and watch for the download smile We Won't Stop Until We've Drained All the Blood From Your Veins It was announced earlier this week that people who purchase Monthly Collectibles this month will get 3 instead of 2 items to choose from. A lot of people are in a huff about it (for God knows what reason - though the title of this section might give you a clue to what they think our motivations are) but I'm just happy that we get more choices! Jenny, I've Got Your Number New item update this week! No fantasy stuff that wizard is an inside joke, but some really nice clothes. Something for the dudes (Buttoned Down Set) and something for the ladies (Jenny Set). I've heard some good feedback on it overall, the main complaint being that it's normal clothes rather than fantasy stuff (User X: "Gaia's a fantasy site! RAAAAGGGHH!!!") but we've had a bunch of recent updates with that kind of stuff - I think it's nice that we got a selection of normal clothes smile Tag! Tagging got released, FINALLY giving users a way to search for threads on the site. (If you haven't spotted it yet, go to the main forums page). As a testament to how much work the devs do, and why it takes us so long to release features that you've all been waiting for: Tagging was mostly done over a month ago. Why did it take so long to release? Because there's so much to do around here that the dev responsible for that got torn off to work on other emergency projects. So for all of you who want to know where Battle System is, or where Tattoos are, etc. know that the devs responsible for those things aren't sitting their twiddling their thumbs - they're working their asses off on all the other stuff that has to be done on Gaia to make it run rofl

	Heh, now if only I could get my Interest tags to work... sweatdrop And yeah, it amuses me how many people are FROTHING AT THE MOUTH at all of the "Gaia is Greedy" stuff floating around, especially with Cashmere Cactus's thread... sweatdrop ... whereas I'm just going "Wtf, make up your minds rolleyes " I guess it's a case of "you cannot please everyone," especially since half of the people want better and better "movie/media themed knockoffs" and the others? don't really care. I'd much rather Gaia gets nice money and stays open and hires more people on than have it be back where we were in '03, with the site crashing for a few hours every afternoon as kids get off school. xp

	I'm thrilled about having three MC's to choose from myself as well, only trouble is I don't know how I'll ever decide on just one!

	firsttimecommenterhere Anyway, I'm also excited about three MC's. Sure, I only got two...but I just donated for another xd I just wish I knew if it'd be EVERY month or just this month. Either way, I'm excited! Just one more week until we find out what's in them. And I LOVE the Jenny dresses. This is probably one of my favorite outfits yet now. Plus, my name is Jennifer, but still. I like when Gaia updates with normal clothes. I just wish Gaia had more nice pink stuff which is part of why I love this dress. Most of the pink stuff is more fushia (Purple-ish pink) then actual pink and that annoys me. Plus, Gaia also lacks any really nice simple long sleeved (or sleeved in general) dresses T___T So I always get excited when new dresses are added <3

	heart >_< my first comment in ur journal heart heart xd I can't wait till the new MC's come out. since I lack the funds and the back bone to ask my mother for money, I started saving up my gold so when people sell their's in the market I can get them. so far mrgreen i'ved saved up 22k.... biggrin surprised whats wrong with the new clothes? 	B) The only problem I see behind having three options if that it causes inflation.. yet they are blaming this inflation on Admin. Admin didn't create the inflation, users did. There are three options: one item still.. Now if there was three options and you got a second free then I'd be a little "umm huu?" rofl [ Next sentence holds a point! -> ] I may get a Wii in like two years when prices drop! xd And the Tag system is greaaaat~ a friend of mine finds it a whole lot easier in finding her Naruto rps! rofl I thought Gaia was more anime based than fantasy. I mean; anime is anime.. And when I think of fantasy: LORD OF THE RINGS!! But that's because I'm weird like that. I like the new clothes update.. But the dresses make me look fat. ninja Or fatter. Button clothes= heart People are soooo picky. dramallama Edit: Did you ever find the quiz for Whuddleworld? It was boring, wasn't it? wink

	I never got into PTAG. confused It's popular and all that stuff, but I don't know, it just doesn't appeal to me for some odd reason.

	3 donation items in one is a nice touch. the only reason i wasn't so for it was because it was so randomly done >< but its grown on me i suppose. i like the tag system ^_^ (thanks for everyone who worked their asses off xp its fun and makes it easy to find certain topics. p.s you always make my week with those pics you find fleep rofl

As always, I tend to enjoy the glitches that come along with new items. The topless glitch always seems to come back. I'm sporting it right now, and I probably will until I get bored with it. The chicken-thing is covering my avatar's chest anyway. The children's minds are safe...just for a little 'while longer

	Did you see people bitching about how all the items were ~too cheap~? Why am I asking, I'm sure you did... Next time you release expensive items, people will b*h they're too much... rolleyes Anyways, I really liked this update and wanna get a lot of the items... 	"Emergency Projects" XD Anyways, I LOVE the new items! The newer items have been looking all spiffy and nice looking. I think tagging is a great way to find topics, but I haven't seen it been used much, but that should change over time.

	My only pain this month is not being able to send in some cash for some letters. I dont know, consealed cash never is a good idea crying so I'll have to shell out the FIFTY BAZILLION GOLD for one letter. XD

	Fleep, you realize what you did to PTAG, right? 1. Fleep voice interview. 2. Editing. 3. Download avaliable. 4. ??? 5. PROFIT!!!! Can you live with the guilt that you may, when the episode is released, crash the PTAG website because of your interview? Can you live with that?! scream xd But I agree with some of the compliemts I saw, fantasy or not, inexpensive or not, these new items are pretty sweet.

	???...PROFIT! Glomps Fleep That episode had me laughing for days on end, and that episode of the simpsons became a big joke between my friends and I. Ahhhh, high school was good times. Do you need an Ipod to listen to Ptag? Because I don't have one and I've heard a lot of people mention them. Though once I finish my secret project I'm sure people will talk about me too ninja You should ask me about it, I'll tell you so long as you can keep a secret wink but then again...you wouldn't be a dev if you couldn't @.@ Though I jumped for joy at the mention of 3 items, the inflation that has happened on the sealeds is insane. Whatever happened to sealeds being 4k apiece? Damn you supply and demand! fist shaking The cloths sets were very well done and stylish. Just not my style. I'ma goth girl to the core and those dresses are just to puffy for me. Ah well, I'll just wait to see what the next update brings. Though I would personally love to see some of the items from the rejected materials petition. Even with this in mind though, thumbs up to the people who did this item update, it was a win. stares at the food, a bit of drool leaks down from the side of her mouth....that looks....so tasty. 	Leena_Nightshade: Despite the name podcast, you don't need an iPod to listen to one or at least I hope that's what the others are doing. X-D We send in .mp3 files so people can listen in when ever, where ever they are that can play such files.

	I'm always loving your journal, Fleep. ^__^ I'm very pleased with what Gaia's done this month. The three MC's are perfect, and I like some of items and sets they came out with. Especially those hoop earrings, I was wondering why we didn't have any. O.o ...why would anyone fuss over three MC's anyway?
