Hiei was sitting in his tree slepping peacefully. His dreams were of Yukina being happy, Kurama being married to Shizuru, Yusuke shutting up for once, and kuwabara dying. His dreams also had thoughts of Botan. It showed her sad and upset. He could hear her crying and could see her but couldn't reach her.

Hiei shot up awake. He could hear the almost silent sobbing of a distressed woman. He thought of it as a coincidence, but when he looked down he knew why he dreamt of only Botan crying. She was crying. Hiei hadn't ever really seen her cry. somehow though he knew the sound of her saddness, like it had been there all along.

Hiei jumped down from his tree and looked at Botan. She was in the middle of the forest and she was crying. She was on her knees and had her head in her hands. Hiei could see her fragile form shaking with hurt and pain. Hiei had to know what caused her this sorrow.

Hiei got on his knees beside Botan and grabbed both of her wrists. He gently pulled her hands away from her face. Botan let him as she looked at him with sorrowful eyes. Her eyes were red and puffy and her face was pale. Hiei put her hands on her knees and let them go. He wiped away a tear that streamed down her face.

"What's upsetting you onna?" Hiei asked softly. Botan snifled but shook her had and looked down at her knees. Hiei lifted her chinn and she faced him.

"Don't be afraid to tell me." hiei said as softly as he could.

"I'm afraind you might look at me as weak if i tell you." Botan whispered. Hiei looked sad and shook his head.

"I won't." Hiei said. Botan sniffled again and took a deep breath.

"You know how i have been seeing Koenma for the past few months?" Bota asked him. Hiei nodded his head.

"Well i went to go say good morning to him. I knew he was already in his office so i opened his office door and i saw -sniffle- him holding Ayame in his arms. At first i thought they were just hugging each other but then i saw him kiss her on the lips. I was trying to tell myself that it wasn't happening but then he sat her in his lap and snuggled her close to him." Botan said and started crying again. Hiei looked angry but he knew he couldn't do anything about it.

"Does he know you saw him?" Hiei asked.

"No he doesn't. He doesn't even know i'm gone. He never calls me to his office this early in the morning. I guess i know whhy now." Botan said and started to sob again. Hiei, following what the little voice inside his head was saying, pulled Botan towards him and hugged her close. Botan continued to sob into his chest. She pulled back after a while.

"I knew i didn't love him as mcuh as i should but it was only on month into the relationship. I didn't think he would cheat on me this soon. I dind't think he would cheat on me any time. Maybe i should just give up on males." Botan sighed.

"Not all of us males are bad. You just got the wrong one. That doesn't mean the man for you isn't out there somewhere." hiei said.

"Why are you being so nice to me Hiei?" Botan asked while sniffling.

"B/c i can't stand to hear a woman cry. or Maybe b/c you don't deserve to feel pain. or maybe i was hoping that i was the man for you." Hiei said the end very quietly. Botan was smiling a little. She leaned back into Hiei's arms, laying her head on his chest.

"I think you are." Botan said softly. Hiei looked so happy and Hiei hugged Botan close to him.

"I'm scared though Hiei. To try love again." Botan said. Hiei looked down at her.

"I won't hurt you in any way. I promise. I will treat you the way you should be treated and i'll do my best to give you everything you want." Hiei said softly. Botan smiled.

" I'll try this then, but can we not go to fast?" Bota asked.

"I'll do whatever you want to do. We can take this as slow as you want." Hiei said. Botan snuggled closer to Hiei.

"I think i may love you more than i have ever loved anyone." Botan said.

"I love you more than i love Yukina." Hiei said. This made Botan oh so happy.

"How will the others take this?" Botan asked.

"They will just take it b/c they can't stop this. As for Koenma, well i'll come to work with you today." Hiei said. Botan shot up.

"You can do that?" Botan asked. She hadn't ever taken anyone to work with her without permission.

"No but i'm going to come with you so that you won' thave to face Koenma alone." Hiei said. Botan smiled at him.

"I love you so much Hiei." Botan said. She got up and helped Hiei up. (hiei is taller than her in this story)

"Well, we have to go to work now." Botan said. Hiei held Botan's hand as they started to walk out of the forest to a clearing.

"We can take off on my oar here." Botan was about to take out her oar but Hiei stopped her.

"I can take you there. I really hate your oar." hiei said. Botan giggled then squealed as Hiei lifted her up bridal style and took offf. THey were at spirit world in ten seconds flat.

"You are fast." Botan siad as she fixed her hair. Hiei just smirked. They were in front of Koenma's office doors. Botan looked scared. Hiei gave Botan a kiss on the cheek and then knocked on the doors.

"Who is it?" Koenma asked from in his office.

"It's me, Botan, Koenma-sama." Botan said iwth confidence.

"Come in." Koenma said.

"I brought someone with me who wishes to speak with you." Botan said before opening the door.

"Who is it that wishes to speak with me Botan?" Koenma asked, confused.

"It's hiei Koenma-sama." Botan said.

"Oh well then come right in." Koenma called. Botan opened the doors and Hiei follwed her in.
