I
sink down into the
black
pit
of despair
and wait there for my
one
true
love
who will rescue me from
night's embrace.
The cold sinks into my
bones.
I long for the fire
to burn me and bring me to
life.
The ground is hard and icy
to the touch
as I lie in wait and
watch
the happy couples as they
pass.
I don't belong here.
This world is not meant for
me.
