I never wanted it to end this way,
But remember please that you are not to blame,
It was the others that pushed me over the edge,
All the rumours that went around and what they all alleged!

It hurt me so bad but nobody could see,
How all their cruel words effected me,
The pain was so unbearable,
And the heart is not repairable!

You were there through it all,
You were the one that I could call,
You helped me so much,
You helped to ease the pain with your touch!

So as you stand and read these verses,
I'd like to thank you for freeing me of the curses,
Please believe me when I say,
I never wanted it to end this way!
