I'm so alone
Surronded by people who dont know enough
and dont care
I am alone.
I look at you
You look at me
I wish and wonder
What do you see?
Do you see the guy that wants to be in your arms ?
Or do you see nothing as though im not there?
Do you think of me the way I think of you?
I will never know
and you wont ever have a clue
You wont know a thing about the nights i wish and wonder
Dream and hope
Just to get my sparkle of hope crushed by your latest boyfriend
How can one person mean so much and yet hurt so bad?
I barely know you
Yet I blush every time even a minor thought of you comes to mind
I try to catch your eye
But you already made up your heart
Decided and moved on
And of course you didnt choose me
Im just the quiet girl in the corner
in the background
Not very much to see
Nothing to say
Just there praying for you to glance her way
Waiting for you to see
But you never have really TRULY seen me
and you wont
I know enough to realize that this hope i harbor is nothing but wishes and dreams
but thats not enough to make me get over you
And no matter how hard I try
I just cant
And I may smile and pretend that I have
But I doubt that I ever really will
And by the time you want and wish for me
...I will be gone.
Alone for now but not forever
and my hope that you and I will be together is faltering
I hope that on day you see
What you and I could've been...and should be.
But like I said by the time you do...
I will be gone.
