I've had this in my myspace blog for a while but I feel like posting it here now:

My friend and I were bored and wrote this while he was at my house a year ago. It's about mainstream music geeks (I wanted to make it semi-mainstream so more people would get the jokes and he's not as into music as I am)

1. Your taste in music ranges from pop to death metal.
2. You constantly have songs stuck in your head.
3. You have more songs in your music collection then they play on the radio.
4. You wont date anybody who doesnt know the difference between hardcore and metal and if you do you will beat the crap out of them until they get it right.
5. You hate it when people think my chemical romance is true emo and have the sudden urge to kill someone when they say so.
6. You believe Kurt Cobain killed guitar NOT recreated it.
7. You understand the story line of Coheed and Cambria
8. You know what indie is and understand its not just a fad.
9. You think Metallica were better in the 80s then they are now
10. You understand that Bright Eyes and Simple Plan ARE NOT REAL MUSIC!!!
11. You have the sudden urge to kill someone when the repeat what Billie Joe Armstrong says.
12. Every time you hear someone say a nu-metal band is metal you die a little inside.
13. Every time you hear someone say Good Charlotte is punk you die a little inside.
14. Every time you hear someone say Chick Rock like Fiona Apple is rock you want to beat them to death with a microphone.
15. You realize 90% of the bands that support PETA are full of crap and need to be beaten with sporks.
16. You know who Rites of Spring are.
17. You understand that Dimebag Derrells death was much more tragic and under publicized then Kurt Cobains tragic death.
18. You wish Fiona Apple and Sheryl Crow would shut up and die all ready.
19. You despise American Idol winners because they are contest winners not real talent.
20. You want to throw papayas at Green Day for ruining punk.
21. You understand what bands such as Between the Buried and Me and Hate Eternal are screaming (youre past me if you understand EVERY word)
22. You understand the difference between metal-core and real metal.
23. You know that real Goth music is Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Siouxie and the Banshee, and other bands like that not HIM.
24. You accept that the late 80s hair scene was a terrible skid mark on the underpants of all music.
25. You are not afraid to admit when bad artists make good songs
26. Your gods are Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Iron Maiden, and the Beatles. With out which your music wouldnt exist.
27. You accept the fact that in his hay day Michael Jackson was damn good now he just kinda well sucks.
28. You are continuing to read this list and it creepily reminds you of yourself.
29. You spend more then an hour a day downloading music that youve never heard of.
30. You think a video game sucks if the sound track sucks.
31. You will wait in line for more then a day to get tickets to see your bands.

34. When someone says to you, wow were down to the final 4 you honestly mean it when you tell them to go die in their corner.

36. You understand that subgenres are created to confuse us all and actively participate in the confusion
37. You admit to being a bit pretentious when it comes to music.

39. You find yourself secretly liking My Chemical Romance and immediately desire a chemical shower.
40. You understand Christian is not a bad word when it comes to music whether you are one or not.
41. You hate any band who cant play a live show as good as their CD.
42. A band earns your respect when they are 100% original and great.
43. You will wait outside the door of the music store for hours to get a CD the day it comes out.
44. You never go anywhere with out your headphones and at least 3 CDs (or your Ipod)
45. If someone says your music sucks you want to murder them with a microphone.
46. You sleep with the radio on (or CD player/Ipod on).
47. You understand System of A Downs lyrics and creepily relate to them.
48. You know exactly where you were when you first heard someone say that my chemical romance was emo and you remember exactly what you did to them afterwards.
49. You are a heterosexual guy and you would sleep with a male member of a band to get close to your favorite band.
50. You are a female and you refuse to be a groupie!
51. You have thrown a piece of meat at WASP outside of concerts in hopes it would knock one of them out.
52. Your favorite movie is This Is Spinal Tap and it gets funnier every time you watch it.
53. You remember exactly where you were when you learned spinal tap wasnt a real band.
54. You've learned to appreciate the album covers of Danzig as real art.
55. You think Gwar should do anything they want anytime they want and no one should question them!
56. You think David Bowie is the hottest chick ever.
57. You have more band tee shirts then teeth.
58. You actually get Prince (Youre past me if you do)
59. Your girlfriend is in the mood and you wait for Stairway to Heaven to be over before you pay her any attention.
60. You break up with her for disturbing your song.
61. You have more band posters then you do bones.
62. You understand Phish suck.
63. You didnt throw up when Ozzy Ousborne bit the head off of the bat.
64. You can name all the member of these bands: Guns N Roses, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, the Jimi Hendrix Experience ect...
65. You dont think its odd that Alice Cooper is now a minister, infact you were saved because of it :O
66. You understand the meaning of all Frank Zappas lyrics.
67. You want Claudio Sanchezs hair
68. You understand Slipknot is not metal.
69. You think Satanism is overrated when it comes to metal.
70. You wont buy a car unless it has a good sound system and a 6 CD changer.
71. Every time you see a scene kid you want to stab it.
72. You understand how overrated Marilyn Manson is.
73. Marilyn Manson does not shock you.
74. You admit to liking the store Hot Topic and immediately want to kill yourself.
75. You admit that Dirty Little Secret by the All American Rejects is the catchiest song youve heard in a long time and immediately want to wash your mouth out with soap.
