If I can't finish this tonite and I get grounded because of my impatience to write more of this fan-fic...then please don't write me letters about why I stopped writing. It'll be obvious...I GOT GROUNDED!!! Start the fan-fic.
~START~
I woke up feeling refreshed, and very, VERY hungry. I staggered out of bed and tryed to remember how to get downstairs into the kitchen. Uh....that way? I turned to the left but Sakura's room was there. I turned around and walked that way down the hall and finally found the stairs.
Sakura was up, making oatmeal for breakfast. She turned around. "Oh! Kaoru! How did you sleep? Are you hungry?" She grabbed a bowl from a cupboard and ladeled some oatmeal into it.
"Yeah I slept...decently. The bed was awesome, seriously, but I could not sleep easily." I sighed. I grabbed the bowl of oatmeal that Sakura was handing me and I mumbled a sleepy "Thanks..."
She walked around the counter and sat down in the tall chair on my right side. I started eating my oatmeal, awkwardly though, because of the bandages that were on my right arm. Sakura took off the bandages and breathed a sigh of relief.
"You just bruised it. Do you remember you falling last night?" I nodded while shoveling heaping spoonfuls of oatmeal into my mouth. "At least I know that you've been fed now." Sakura smiled and grabbed my bowl. At first I thought she was going to put it in the sink, but she refilled it for me and I mumbled another sleepy, "Thanks."
Sakura began eating also. We talked while eating but within the next five minutes Sakura told me, "We should probably leave for Class soon. If we get there early you and Takeya can meet all of the people as they walk in." I had just finished my second bowl of oatmeal and Sakura whisked it away to the sink. I offered to help with dishes but Sakura just shook her head and said, "It's your first day of class, you probably want to make a good impression right?" I nodded and said a quick, and less sleepy, "Thanks!"
I ran up the stairs to my bedroom. I dug through my green backpack and found my locket. It was shaped like an hourglass and my parents had given me it when I was young, right before the incident. A picture on one side was my mom laughing and the other was my dad, smiling. I opened the small gold locket and said, "I love you." I closed the locket and put it around my neck. Who doesn't want their parents with them on the first day of school? (If you were beginning middle/high school I understand.)I dug through my bag to find clean clothes and my wooden comb Takeya made me when we were in our third foster home. He had made it by ripping up one of the floor boards in the corner of my closet, (to the foster family it was a bedroom), and had whittled it into a beautiful comb.
I used it everyday to comb my green hair. Difficultly I pulled out my hair-tie and put it on my wrist. My hair fell just past my shoulders and it was annoying. Takeya always insisted it was beautiful and that I should wear my hair down more often but, it was my brother, he had to say stuff like that.
I brushed out my hair, and pulled it back into my hair-tie, which I had made with my mother before she died. I was always afraid my hair would become too thick and it would break the hair-tie. But It never did.
My clothes were still clean from yesterday, but my face and my pants looked horrible. I took out new pants out of my backpack, quickly changed and threw the dirty pants on the floor near my door so I knew they were dirty. With Sakura's help I found the bathroom. I got to wash my face and my arm where it had been bruised.
Before I knew it Sakura was saying, "Kaoru! Lets Go!" I bolted down the stairs, remembered to grab my key and stood outside on the dirt road waiting for Sakura to lock up the house. We walked down the road to Sasuke's which just happened to be next door to Naruto's house. Takeya and Naruto looked sleepy, like they had stayed up all night.
"Takeya!" I whispered into his ear. "Is this how you want to make a first impression at class today?" He sort of frowned and said, "No..." he yawned. Ugh. Brothers. Can't live with them, can't live without them. Today felt like it had been long already and I wanted to go back to Sakura's house, have some oatmeal, and sleep peacefully knowing my brother was going to be punished.
I kicked Takeya in the shins. "There! Now are you awake?" I said impatiently.
He nodded, looking at me with wider eyes. "Oh my god! It lives!" I pointed at him mockingly and I ran down the street. He, of course, chased me and finally got me in such a big hug I thought my head was going to fly off. Sakura waved me and Takeya back over to her, Sasuke and Naruto. We walked behind the other three, me and Takeya. He noticed the locket, and his eyes turned from green to gray. He was remembering our parents.
I hadn't known them for as long as Takeya did. Takeya was born 10 minutes before me, and he had been with mom and dad right before they died. While I was being chased through the woods, Takeya was trying to protect mom and dad, who were bleeding heavily and were the targets of the Ninja. The ninja came right at Takeya who tryed to use a kunai knife and stab the ninja, when the ninja only stabbed him with his own kunai knife.
My eyes had turned gray too, because Naruto was walking backwards infront of me, and he was asking me questions. "Why are your eyes gray? I thought they were blue."
I sighed. "They are blue." I tried to calm down, and I felt my eyes go back to blue. "They change color when I change moods. Takeya's eyes do that too."
"Whoa. Cool." Naruto smiled and walked forwards next to me the whole way to class.
We were the first ones there, so I grabbed a spot right in front, so I could soak in every detail of what we were learning.

right now its 11:42 pm. almost tommorrow. can I fall outta my chair? PLEASE???? fine. nighty night fellow Naruto Fans! ninja ninja
