Today's roads are not as safe as they should be. Oh sure, we have 5 star crash-test rated vehicles, and airbags, and crosswalks, and all these fancy gadgets for the road. But the problem is not in our technology; it is in our drivers. Today's divers are, put quite bluntly, stupid. ("Hey look, a red light. Let's just keep on driving." -Paul) Cross walks, for instance, do not really do much if the drivers do not know what a yellow sign with a person walking between two lines means. It is in the opinion of some that if you cannot see, you cannot drive. However, I know a girl who is legally blind and drives better than most drivers who have 20/20 vision. What is the future of driving? I think it can be summed up in a few words: screech, bang, boom, "Hello? What is the number for 911?"
