Journal 1 Short!

"Hello, reader. Don'tcha hate that line? So do I, at times.."

"Then dont use it!"

"Who was that?" I turn around, but see no one.

"I'm in front of you, Smittee."

I turn back around and see a man in uniform.

"Colnel Mustang!" I salute.
"Now now, Smittee, How long have you been doing these Shorts! with me?"

"Uh...A month or so?"

"See," does the manly 'slam a friend with hand on the upper back' ordeal,"No worries."
I gasp for air. He wrapped jis arms around my shoulders and smiles widely. I turn towards him, trying to smile and sweat drop.

"So," he started. I knew it was coming. "Did you finish learning your alchemy assignment?"

*Dun, Dun, Dun*

Journal 2 Short!

I come back with a black eye. I sigh. "Hey, sorry for the leaving early. that
s not how I like to end my writing. But, it was easier than to have someone write for me, while I get beat up. Man, I should have read that book. At least I didn't run into Maes Hughs. He has a 4 hour long story about his...

"Hello, Smittee!"

"Uhh," I sweat drop,"Hello, Maes. What are you doing here?"

"Well, Roy wanted me to tell you something, but first," he pulled out his wallet, opened it up, and one of those pic holders rolled open. They were all of his daughter. "Look at little Elyssia! Isn't she precious?! She loves to hear me telling or reading her stories at night. She's sooo beautiful. She's my little angel!" His face was that of a father, proud over their child.

"Yeah, that's great. So, what's the news, that Colnel Mustang gave you?" *more sweat drops*

Maes became serious and coughed. "Right. Roy wanted me to make sure you study up on your alchemy," I gulp during it all,"He also mentioned, that if you don't, he'll have Havoc study with you."

I yell to the skies,"Noooo!" I then go into my bag, in the corner, and begin reading. Maes laughs,"YOu certainly don't like that idea." Maes exits. I keep studying until I realize I'm still with you all. "Uhm...I'm a bit busy right now. I'll explain the Havoc thing later. Gotta Study!" I shut my book, go to the door, and shut off the lights, on my way out.

"I'm back! And my black eye is gone! But, now I've got my allergies. Oh well. Can't win them all."

"So, you actually look at the books yet?"

"Oro...Ohh, Colnel Mustang. Yep, I actuallyread some of it too."

He pet her on the head,"Good girl, Keep up the studying. The test will be soon."

"Yes, sir."

Riza walked in and saluted,"Colnel Mustnag. You are needed in your office."

"Is that so? All right," he sighed and turned to me,"Keep up your studies. I'll be back to check on you."

"Yes, sir."

Riza and Roy left the room.

"It's so great to know the plans have changed. I don't want to deal with Havoc,. Here's so you know who I'm talking about. Havoc is a dog of the military, who doesn't have a girl, and is currently lookinf for a girl. He'd probably do anything to get a girl. He's an interesting person. I just don't want to deal with him. Though, he is better than that monk from Inu world." I shivver a bit.

I hear a knock at the door. "Enter," I say as I pick up a book. I look up and see Ed and Al. Al looks very upset. "Hey, Edward...Alphonse."

"Hey, Smittee," said Ed. He looked like he had been through a lot of trouble. "What's wrong with you two?"

"Al's upset because I won't let him keep the 2nd cat he found."

"Ed, it didn't have a home! It needed a home."

"Look Al, we don't even have a home. Why would we be of help to it?"

"Because it would have a family."
