She entered the forest and everything near fled. Plants seemed to wither. She stopped suddenly tears began to well in her eyes as the evil grip that seemed to radiate out of her faded and everything around could breath again. She fell to her knees. She didn’t realize it but she had been walking most of the day and on an empty stomach. No sooner did she stop that she realize she surrounded by horrid unnatural creatures that used to be human. There were only five, but still that small amount was frightening. Huge rotting yet sturdy things in tattered, ripped leather and vapid eyes, but these were not ordinary village invectives. She did not even recognize them. They swayed slowly. Before she could get a chance to remove her now short staff from her belt, one was already upon her, throwing her across the forest and into a tree. She landed firmly on the tree as her cloak rushed around her and in the same motion she reverberated off the tree to take out her staff and shoved it through the creatures throat. It gurgled and died. Another came at her unexpectedly, she spun as she withdrew her staff from the others neck and threw the creature as the staff extended to normal length. She met the creature as it flew into a tree, then she threw it in the air with a great arc motion of her staff and to the ground with her staff through it’s head. The three left, piled upon her, in one sweep her staff extended throwing off her foes with her free hand had cut every creature a fatal blow with her sword which was like a flash of lightning. She stood there in the carnage of her kill. Suddenly she heard a cry of a young child. Everything seemed to move in slow motion. There stood Josten with a stick in one hand as one of the infected or for short a Yazu came running towards him with an axe.
Denzin seemed to disapear as she ran to her full limit. She passed the Yazu her sword swiftly slicing through it. As she came to a stop, the Yazu split in half showering both her and Josten. Her hair swung down a look of despair crossed her face. She wiped Firsol clean and put it into her sheath. She stuck her staff in the ground and turned slowly to Josten. He stood there wide eyed and covered in blood. She knelt down and wiped blood from his face. “Are you alright,” suddenly a sword went into her shoulder. She turned in rage and pulled it out. The same anger from earlier returned. She grabbed her staff and unsheathed her sword. Ten had surrounded them. The glow came back. Josten looked up and slowly moved behind a tree.
“Denzin?” he whimpered. His voice aroused her and brought her to her sense. The Yazu saw this, one then attacked. It came running towards her, it grabbed her and threw her. She slid and rolled only to meet another who swung her up in the air where she met two other Yazu. She fell to the ground and landed on one knee and the other legs extended. She wiped blood from her mouth on the back of her hand. She then took her sword out and charged at them at an incredible speed.
As he sat in a tree looking down upon the unexpected Yazu, he heard a scream in the distance. He said something softly. The Yazu cocked their heads towards the direction of the noise and began to run that way. The man that stood on the branch suddenly vanished in a puff of black smoke. He appeared above them with a thin, long blade in one hand and a blue glow in the other. In a flash, five Yazu lay dead. He killed three more and ran off towards his destination. In a puff of smoke he left the other Yazu behind. The man landed on a tree limb and below him he saw a young woman and a young boy surrounded by many Yazus.
Denzin stood there as another Yazu fell. One of them sunk into the ground like a shadow and came behind her only to find a double blade in it’s stomach. She looked up as a man jumped down from a tree limb. They stood back to back as the Yazu circled them. In many flashes, swiped, and spinning all the Yazu lay dead. She turned to the man then to Josten who ran to her. She bent down on one knee to look him over. “Denzi what happened to you?” He grabbed her left hand, the sleeve fell back to reveal her secrets. “You’re infected But-you haven’t... I don’t want you to die,” he shook his head rapidly, flinging tears.
“I won’t die,” she said this so softly he barely heard her. “Let’s go home, hmm,” she smiled at him. She got up and turned to the man as he began to leave, “Wait-“ she gasped as a the infection stirred. She saw a man reaching through the darkness as she came crashing to the ground, “Fir’Fir’yn ”
She woke to see Josten sitting on a stool next to her,
“Denzin, you’re awake ” He hopped down from the stool and ran out of the room, “Terrance she’s awake.”
“Terrance,” she whispered, though she said it more as a statement than a question.

: My Stories:
I have an imagination the size of the universe. If ever I do become a famous writer like Christopher Paolini. Though I will never be as good as him.
