This game can be annoying at times.
There’s a key in a drawer that I know I will need, but its not letting me pick it up. It took me a while to figure it out why, because apparently I needed to do things in order, to trigger the option to pick it up. You’re kidding me! That’s so dumb because it’s right there.
Why can’t I use fire to destroy this painting?! I do have a lighter and a oil lamp that I can throw at it. But, oh no, instead I need a special occult knife to destroy it. However, the only way to figure out which blade works is to basically go through an annoying process of trial and error. Which is a lot of deaths and stealth.
There isn’t a map in this game and I would’ve liked one. At the very least it would’ve been useful with the hospital section. The game is very dark, that I keep getting lost and going in circles. It wouldn’t be too bad if it didn’t involve solving a puzzle to get to the next part. You get reset to the beginning by the monster if you take too long to figure out where to go (because you can’t linger in the darkness for too long).
What? I search the whole room so where in the world did my character get an ax in that cut scene?! There was nothing in the room but a fire poker and lots of coal. And the woman used the poker to stab her husband through the throat...so where did the ax come from? If it was there, why didn't my character grab it to protect himself as soon as the enemy guy appear? Meh...
