Actual English: When two things just really don't mix well together.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
My parents are divorced. I'm not traumatized by this, nor am I really bothered by it. This isn't something new; they've been divorced since before I can remember so it doesn't really effect me. Of course, when I was little I used to dream that my parents would be together and we could be a normal family. I can see now that that really wouldn't be a great idea.
Now I'm 15 years old and have half a brain. I can see why my parents are divorced and that it was probably for the best for everybody. They are just so different.
I now live in two completely different lives. When I'm at my dad's house, I love it. Everything that they do and say comes down to this: Survival. If you show everyone that you're the toughest, nobody will mess with you. Be strong, be brave, be agressive. I love it, it's exhilirating and it makes you feel more like you are free and 'large and in charge'.
Then, there's my mum. I live with my mum most of the time, and when I'm there everything is different. When it concerns my mum, it all comes down to "Protect yourself, do what you can to stay alive, be strong but be sensible."
This is good, this is smart. This also appeals to me. It's smart. It's how you stay alive. You don't make enemies.
