It's been a while
Hey everyone!
Well, it's certainly been a while hasn't it? I was thinking about doing an introductory post again because so much has changed. I mean, the so-called friends that you guys used to read about I don't even talk to anymore and I have many new friends that I would love to tell you all about. All the people I'm going to be telling you about will be strangers and people you have never heard of before, so I'm worried things are gonna get super confusing for you all... well, to anyone who actually reads these... Hmm... I think maybe I'll just scrap the whole 'introduction post' thing and just get right into it. Don't worry, hopefully I'll introduce my friends well enough to avoid any future confusion.
Alright, to start off, it's been 4 years (I think) since my last post and I'm sure it's not hard to imagine just how much has changed. I finished high school and am now currently studying for a Bachelor in Forensic Science in university. My course is amazing and I settled into university life very quickly. Within the first 2 days, I'd already found myself the perfect companions I needed to get me through the next 3 years of my life. No doubt though, these years were going to be the best years of my life. It was completely different, but so amazing.
Although, of course it wasn't always sunshine and rainbows. My first year of university was most certainly one of the best years of my life. Then 2013 happened. I lost a lot of friends... not through arguments or misunderstandings or anything like that, but because I felt like they just gave up on life. Their frequent absences in classes eventually turned into phases of nonexistence and I wouldn't hear from most of them for weeks on end. University suddenly became very lonely and sometimes it still is. The little corner where at least 15 of us used to sit is now only every occupied by 5 or 6 people at maximum. The friends who used to put up with my crazy antics were now embarrassed by them. The people who were more than happy spending 4 hours a day playing pool were now spending over 8 hours locked up in the library or their rooms studying. In short, people became boring. I miss the old times.
To add to all this, for those of you who have any interest in international politics, then you will know that Australia (the country in which I live in) has just voted in a silly prat for a prime minister who is intending to take away all the benefits a university student like myself needs. His name is Tony Abbott and apparently, in America's opinion, he may be the new JFK -.-
But despite all this negativity, I learn new things everyday, not just in terms of academic learning but life in general. I've learned that life has a new lesson for you every day, you just have to look out for it. If there was one important lesson that I have learned though is that the people who are worth keeping around are the ones who are truly in your heart. And the ones who are truly in your heart are the ones who are more than willing to keep you in theirs. You beautiful people know who you are.
So let's make a toast to all those beautiful people who have been there through thick and thin and who always will be there. Don't take these people for granted. Trust me guys, love them because they deserve that and more.
