xxxxxNOTABLE CHARACTERISTICS:
Nagar, unlike the Terran Naga mythical creature, cannot change form whatsoever. They are very diverse in color, although every thousand years or so they tweak the genetic code of the next generation back to vibrant colors to avoid muddling colors completely. There are rarely overweight Nagars as they are pretty much constantly on the move. As a species, Nagar have more than regular eyesight. Some can see in black and white, see better at night, heat vision, etc. and rely mostly on their ears and scent/taste. All Nagar are carnivores of some type or another.
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
All Nagar have snake eyes, talonesque fingernails, sharp teeth with fold-back fangs, pointed ears, and a forked tongue. The skin of the humanoid half follows the same color/pattern of the tail half, sometimes resulting in odd but beautiful coloration.

xxxxxABILITIES:
- HEIGHTENED HEARING AND SMELL/TASTE: Nagar rely more on their hearing and sense of smell/taste than their sight and touch, though their sight is sharp. Therefore, then can hear and smell at least 3x better than the average human.
- WEATHER/EARTH SENSITIVITY: Nagar who live on the surface of the planet rely on Nagar who prefer to live in trees or underground to warn them of major changes in the weather or trouble occurring below the surface, because they are more sensitive to detecting those changes. ie-gale force storms and earthquakes. xxxxx HISTORY AND SOCIETY Because Nagar have a fairly long life span, they made technological leaps and bounds. After enough Nagar got interested enough, the technology for space travel came soon after, yet they agreed and allowed only simple discoveries to keep among themselves because they are more in tune with nature and keep their planet healthy. There is only one large docking station for interstellar travel on the entire planet and as soon as they could, moved all major manufacture off planet.
As a society, they value things that are handmade rather than mass produced on an assembly line and the continents are divided into several large countries, each ruled by a group of ten, five each of males and females, none married to each other and from the ten major areas of expertise. ie-selling/trading, science, herbology, home construction/decoration, etc. If a pair of them do end up marrying each other, the other eight ask the people of the country to nominate ten Nagar who are the top of their field for the two categories via a year long voting process and then the eight make their picks from those. School is held outside as much as possible and everyone uses datapads instead of paper. Technology is designed to work with and withstand nature insofar as it is able.
