Haunted sleep,
These memories flicker then fade…
A light opens in my mind, straying to the far corners of my awareness
The light shows the truth
And plants the seed
Darkness consumes
The smiles turn to sneers
The hands to claws
And the scars reopen one by one
Everything fades into perception
On the walls and floor around me are all my mistakes
In front of me are only shadows
And the trail behind is full of pain
I'm somewhere here in the middle screaming…
And you're there wondering why I can't sleep.
