Sharing secrets connects us.
People in the U.S. consider taking their own lives. "There will be 35 of you, in this room, who will try to take their life". Frank Warren found through his Post Secret project that when a friend asks another person if anything is bothering them can save that person's life. Who knows, it change that person's mind and they will reconsider.
With my own feelings, I sometimes feel uncomfortable sharing my attraction stories because I am gay and they tend to be embarrassing. But right at the brink, when my friend asks me "what are you talking about?" I finally tell him about this guy that I like in class. I held it around the whole day and I just could not get the thought outta my head. After I told him, I felt it was kinda silly why I was holding onto this "secret" for so long. I just need a listening ear.
