You all know her, or have heard of her. The girl who has a few friends and with them she laughs and smiles. She's funny, beautiful, smart... But you don't really see her. She's gotten better at hiding her face, her arms, the tears in her eyes. Maybe one time you saw a c***k in her armor, a small gap that lead to the terrified and lonely girl inside. Maybe you were unfortunate enough to stumble across her when she was breaking apart. I'd be willing to bet the best you did was ask if she was okay, or even to ask what was wrong. I'd bet she said it was nothing, she was fine. Let me define "fine" for you, then maybe next time you wont keep walking.

We all know her, the girl with many scars that she doesn't even bother to hide anymore. They're old news. Can you remember her name? Or do you just know her as the girl who attempted suicide and told her "friend" who told the world. Do you know her friend? Or to you is she just the girl who helped some poor unstable girl through a rough time? Do you know what would have helped her? If when you had walked past her in the hall and saw the blood dripping from her hand and pulled her aside and said: "I don't know you, I don't think you need my pity, I'm not afraid of you or what you do and I can tell you need someone. So here I am." That one small act of mercy and maybe things would be different now.

We all know her now. The girl found in the boy's bathroom, arms bleeding, a message in blood on the wall. "Hi, my name is..." All she wanted to hear from anyone. And her eyes are open. Wide and lifeless. But you can still see the hurt in them and you wonder if maybe you had stopped and just said hello to her one day if she would be alive today. But chances are you didn't really care. You sign the memorial poster saying something like: She will be missed. But you never knew her name, you just kept walking when you saw her crying in the hall, and you ignored the yell you heard coming from the bathroom.

I love the girl with the broken smile and I will NEVER let her forget that. If she feels like she's falling a least she'll know I'll be at the bottom waiting for her. And I will haunt whoever pushed her over the edge for eternity. Ain't payback a b***h?
