I like the fact there is a Like and Dislike button on Youtube. However, I feel that people are abusing the dislike button just for the sake of disliking. It’s ridiculous that as soon as a person uploads a video there’s already a dislike on it, even more so when it’s about 10 minutes long. That just shows that this person didn’t even view the video in order to truly dislike it. It’s even more vile when it comes to serious topic videos and/or emotional ones.
Seriously, why are people so cruel to dislike a video of a little girl with cancer telling the viewers that her last wish is to meet a celebrity? Or what she wants to be when she grows up. It’s just sad and disgusting to see that people have no heart. Those kinds of videos do not deserves any dislikes at all.
It’s the anonymity in the internet that those kinds of people — those trolls enjoy. So I’m pretty sure that those who dislike wouldn’t have dislike in the first place, if it was documented. All that would be left would be people who would have an actual reason to not like a video.
Hell, if that still doesn’t work then make it a rule that people must leave a comment/actually have a reason for liking or disliking a video. Not only would it be known who they are, they can’t just mindlessly click on a button without a reason. Sure they might get get around that by putting a troll comment but if that happen then give the poster of the video, the power to mark those posts as spam or delete it, or block them from leaving comments in their video.
I don’t know but people mindlessly disliking something for no reason or to purposely upset them is another reason why I sometimes dislike humanity. Makes me wish the Reapers would come to Earth for real. I will forever love those who caught that reference.
