I’m about to slap these people. I do not have absolute control over the internet and the things that appear on my feed, dashboard, or whatnot. So whatever shows up, shows up without my control or because there is no “filter” for it. But it’s times like these that I wish I could block or stop them from appearing in my presence. I’m sick and tired of seeing people in their underwear taking pictures of themselves in the mirror with their cellphones/cameras.
It’s so tacky, trashy, vain, unoriginal and trampy.
I get that people want to take pictures of themselves looking “hot” but come on! We all know you want attention but you’re getting the wrong attention, unless you want to be known as a tramp and I’m putting that nicely. Because when people see you nearly naked they aren’t thinking, “aw what a pretty girl or cute guy”. Instead they are actually thinking, “oh look I get to see the goods without having to work for it”.
They believe that you’re is easy, that you can be taken advantage and they don’t care whether that’s true or not. The way they see it is that if you’re capable of taking slutty photos of yourself without being asked to do so (or convinced), then they believe that it won’t take that long or won’t be difficult for them to get you in their bed (or for them to be in yours).
I just don’t understand how people can do that. Who wants the whole world to see your body? For a family member to come across it? For your boss or someone at work to see it? For some foreign porn site to take your photo and ‘edit’ into an ad or something.
Once it’s on the internet it is there forever. It doesn’t matter if you delete it, there’s always a piece of it left behind and it’s usually because someone save it onto their computer. I suspect dirty old guys who we all know stalk the internet for…well you know why.
Last thing I like to point out…are they all stupid? I know there’s some cellphones that have timers, especially the digital cameras. Is it that difficult to set it up and ‘pose’ like it was magically taken when you were all prettily done, doing something ‘unrelated’ to the camera? Or at least get a friend to take your picture for you.
Note: …if you can’t even do that right then you’re a dumbass. Seriously, what’s the purpose of getting a friend to take your picture if you’re going to have them take the picture using a mirror still? That’s is pointless…more so if that’s what you would have done without them.
Personally, I don’t mind people taking pictures of themselves. I’ve actually seen some that were tastefully done and normal. There was no sexual purpose to them. They were innocent in nature and cute/pretty. What I have a problem with is when they are naked or nearly naked and it’s sexual in some way. Or that it’s obvious the only purpose for taking it was to show off their “sexiness”.
