As many of you already know, “firewhiskey” is the name of an fictional alcoholic beverage from J. K. Rowling’s popular Harry Potter series. While not serving an extensive role in the books, it has nevertheless spurred many fans to seek out firewhiskey…or create some themselves. Now, in the book it's known to cause a burning sensation when drank, and for filling one's body with courage. Just as the name suggests it's more then likely a drink that contains a bit of a kick while not being completely unbearable. I search around for recipes and found one that seem to fit for what I imagine firewhiskey would taste like.
Firewhiskey Recipe
Ingredients:
1 ounce of whiskey (1.5 cl) 1/2 ounce of cinnamon schnapps
Instructions:
Combine the whiskey and cinnamon schnapps in a shot glass and stir before serving.
Note: If you want to make your own homemade Firewhiskey, it’s going to take a while since it will need to settle. In a Mason jar (4 ounce is best) or any kind of glass jars, add in a half dozen cinnamon sticks, a tablespoon of sugar and fill it with whiskey. Seal the jar and leave it in a cool, dark place for a few weeks at least. The longer you wait, the stronger the cinnamon taste will be.
Or if your lazy just buy a 1.5 ounce of Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey.
