LOVE - WHAT IS IT

(another FB entry - but a mini-Bible study for my family - took about a couple of hours or so with a few questions here and there). Please, no comments.


LOVE


What is it? What does it mean? Is it only about Lovers? Can you Love someone like a Friend? Can you Love someone with the Love from Christ that is inside you? GOD is LOVE and GOD is GOOD - the Bible tells me so smile
~~~ 1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.


Love from me = I love everyone with the Love Christ gives me in the Spirit.
~~~ 1 John 4:16 says: "And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him."


Love from me = Well, sometimes, it is hard for me to love everyone in Flesh, because of my sin or their sin. To God, a sin is a sin is a sin. I sort of feel that way too. Bearing false witness about your neighbor made the top 10 commandments for a reason, and it hurts - you may not think so in the beginning, but eventually, someone gets hurt.

Love from me = I can love someone as a Lover as One with my Spouse in both - Spirit and Flesh - because He allowed us to marry to keep from sinning Paul said. (I finally got my answers about what it meant to be "As One" with your Spouse} - other then the sexual part.

Love from me = I can love a male or female as a friend and keep it Special and Personal (not sexual) - but in the Spirit with the Love from Christ that is within me - actually, since the only good in me is God, and God is Love, you could say God is loving my friends, either male or female, through me.

~~~ Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
~~~ Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Love from me = Christ's Love working through me when we give to the poor, the needy, the lonely, the dis-heartened, the orphans, the widowers - either via donations of currency or material items, food, time, encouragement, a pal to help the children, more time or manual labor for those who have lost their Spouse or can't do things on their on, and maybe sending a card just to let them know they were thought of to put a smile on their face.

*** - Prison doesn't have to just mean jail cells - it can also mean, a person who is in bondage of Satans' bonds - such as fear, afflictions, or anything holding a person back from the Freedom of God's Love - we must reach out to our fellow Christians that have been attacked and brought down and give them a helping hand back up on the right path - out of that prison Satan has them in - God would want us to Love our neighbors (which are our fellow family, friends, and other Christians).




Love from me = In the flesh, I can get off track and get emotional with a male friend if I don't stay close to Christ - but by staying close to Christ, God's Love Reels me back in and I will repent - which means what? That I no longer have those feelings. Can't hide that from God and can't run from God. I know I'm not the only sinner in this world but I know my heart is cleansed!

Well now, this was on my heart this morning, wanted to share with ALL for some reason. I posted several quotes about Love yesterday, because it was heavy on my heart then also.
~~~ Galations 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.




I do not pretend to be perfect as I am an humble sinner who has been forgiven by Jesus, my Savior through Faith and belief in my heart unto Righteousness and have confessed as much as I can to everyone I can, that Jesus is God and is Alive and my Savior!!
~~~ Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
~~~ Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

It is a wonderful thing to have an intimate relationship with God. Some people just say their prayers of what they want, and an occasional Thank You Lord, that was close!! What God really wants, is for us to depend on Him, Talk to Him, Know Him, us to Know what His purpose for us is for His Will and part in His Master Plan and it may not always be what our selfish desires are - so we have to ask ourself - is that nudging inside selfish or the Holy Spirit wanting to use us? In order to know the difference, we must stay close to Him via Prayer and reading His Holy "Living" Word inspired by God.

We as parents are practice for our kids. I mean, once they are saved, Jesus / God is their Father - but we are still practice as we try to discipline them as they grow up, ask questions, and as we try to keep them on the right path. "Pick our battles" they tell us. When they leave us, God is going to carry them and be the chastiser to keep them on the right path - He doesn't have a "round the table talk" like we sometimes do as a family - God will get our attention in so many diverse ways - some desirable and some not so desirable. Sometimes, it may take years for us to hear Him. It is our jobs, as Christian parents, to try and encourage them to find THEIR Intimate Relationship with God. I will say, this has been a burden on my heart for many years now, and they just aren't interested yet OR it just isn't URGENT on their heart. Oh, they pray, they Thank Him, They even go to Church sometimes and I've seen God use them to get His Will accomplished and it is a beautiful sight and feeling in my heart when I notice those little things (or big things) like that through my children, God's blessed seeds from mine and Kenny's Joining, children. See, our children are Blessings from God!! I just wish they would get more serious about an intimate relationship with God AND I would LOVE for everyone in the World to do the same also.

Please Know, I LOVE talking about God's Word to people. Sometimes it is encouraging, sometimes it is neutral, and sometimes it is hard to swallow. I know - I have had to swallow a lot of things that were hard to chew. God makes up for it with blessings when we humble ourselves and Love Him back!!

Life is just a vapor in the wind, but one day, ETERNITY will hit us. Do we know where we will be during the Infinite, forever and ever, ETERNITY After Life? With God, it is Black and White without grays. He will be our judge - not a person on Earth. Are our names written in the book of Life? Is it there because we did something nice? Is it there because we said nice things? Is it there because we worked our butts off at work? Is it there because we went to Church? Is it there because we looked good in front of people? It will be there, because our heart was Cleansed by Jesus Christ and He Saved Us through Faith, Under the Grace of God, and we believe in our hearts that He did save us and Jesus is God and Alive today along with confession of our Salvation!!
