Since the beginning, the gods were often seen as the only true power, but there was a misconception of this understanding. Behind each deity there had always been another. A protector, so to speak, that had always been derived at the same time as each god, born to assure that these divines did not stray far enough to endanger the lives of those on Earth. Balance had been made if only by the pact between these deities and their protectors, allowing them to prevail in a contentious understanding of the people that looked to them. Humans, delicate creatures that, in comparison paled not only in life span, but in strength, power, and mentality were the underdogs to their own kind. Now, one would expect that in order to protect such divine men and women, the protectors would need to have a power equal or greater than those they were born to watch over, this was not the case. While it had been a necessity to extenuate life and make their forms susceptible to great pains in order to put up with what ever the gods had to offer in offense, their powers were not granted by birth. They were great humans, so to speak, able to endure whatever pain the gods dealt and still survive. This did not mean they were left without wounds, but they would always heal given time.
For a long time, the lineage of protectors was kept to secrecy as not to provoke human riot, and at the time when each was called upon, they would be taken to Olympus were each would endure a training preparation by other gods. Difficult tasks measuring wit, strength, and ability was often a long endeavor that ended only at the point when their assigned deity was at the stage of misinterpretation. Vile angst, misconceptions and often cruel perceptions of the human world were to be turned around and the protectors were to teach these deities of the true natures, the beneficial side of mankind.

Within her chambers she sat, as still as a statue and her eyes narrowed perplexedly towards the length of field beyond her vision. She knew it was there though, she had every other member of a family. She and her uncle were the last of her family she knew and for as long as she had remembered, this was where they were raised. This was where she had been raised. Natalia Vivaldi, still a youth herself, although a woman of more character than dull charades. She was bright, flamboyant and often blunt with words and while she may not have had the most subtle of commentary she spoke only out of mind. She knew the world only out side of her home and into that field. Until she met the end of Clienwood, it was her world, her existence, and more importantly, her home. She was bred to be strong and witty and the result was a forward girl of harsh critic.
Despite this, she looked like a completely normal girl from her town, dressed in garb slightly more fitting for males of the era, only small adjustments were made so that they fit to herself. long, ash blond hair that shone golden under daylight rays and eyes of the same nature that seemed to smoldering under the gaze of others were her most recognizable traits. This, and the olive skin that never strained with the slightest blush made the pale physique that rose no taller than five foot four something of alluring. It had been a shame however for her unsocial personality. Never one to play idle with people, Natalia believed in time, and that time, being the precious thing it was was never to be wasted.
Today had been one such day where he longing glances and privatized thoughts were invaded. At first, a harmless knock at the door seemed merely a distraction, one which she did not welcome and had decided to feign absence. However, after the forth knock, the loud crashing of the downstairs door drew her attention. While combat had not been in her prior favor, the weapon that hung along her wall, a long staff with a bladed edge seemed enough to take down the intruder. That was to say, until she saw him. An eerie character, the bearded man looked out of date, older by just a few years, but by size, he could hardly fit within her home. Blinking at the monstrous figure she yelled out her warning for him to leave only to receive a hint of laughter and then a few dented steps forward. Three strikes on her part, and that was the on ly offense she was allowed before the world turned black. Then, dizzied and head awake with a flurry of voice, her eyelids fluttered only to observe the bright whiteness of the room she was in. Fresh wraps with blotches of white wrapped around her body, Natalia jolted upright only to fall back with an intense pain that made her recall the throbbing of being lugged by the larger character.
"Where am I? Who the hell are you?!" She demanded her eyes finding focus on a tall woman with long auburn hair and a gentle smile. "Oh dear, it looks as though she awoke early. They really shouldn't have sent Areistes down there. He never was the gentle sort. Calm down dear, you're lucky you are who you are." A soft chime of laughter and a comforting caress on her cheek and the fair woman seemed to prance out of the room, returning shortly with a similar attire to her own folded in her arms. "Change into this, yours will be returned later but they're dirtied now. Hurry, and we'll have you meet your destined." Natalia arched her brow, managing to pull herself in a more subtle movement and nodded in agreement, confused completely as to what the mad woman was babbling on about.

Areistes is simply the father of Ares, God of War, whether this is mythologically accurate, is unlikely due to I simply wanted a character birthed before ares. Basically, my character, Natalia, is a protector and I would like you to play a god. You may make one up or use one that is preferable: Zues, Ares, Poseidon, etc. Although, please, let's have an interesting story here. (:
