It's been three maybe four days since I've seen my group. As expected really, I've always been terrible with directions. We were tracking down a man named Terry Roy and man who stole some important equpiment from a lab called ITEX. This device he took let's him jump though portals to some place far away. These portals only appear if the person holding the device can think of someplace to wrap to. I followed the man through one of the rips in space but he quickly gave me the slip. Hunter is going to be mad at me again for not following orders.

I mean I know he is trying to train me into being a leader but I just can't. I mean I know I could but not with him teaching. Ever since we kissed that night in the sewers (not the most romantic place ever) things haven'r been the same. At least not for me. Hunter just plays it off like it was just some kind of weird dream. Sure felt like one. Maybe it would be better if it was actually. The most annoying part is I still don't know where I am. That jackass just ran as soon as he saw me. I would've followed but I was busy trying to escape the horde of teenage boys that ran towards me. Something about a girl with swords and guns. Crazy isn't it.

As I walk through the town not many people look over at me. It's as if suddenly I was some kind of alien and now I'm invisible. I guess this is what Slit feels like on a daily basis. I look over to see the group of boys that came over to me earlier are still following me. Maybe thats why no one is looking at me. I walk a little faster since I don't have time to deal with nerds. I have to find Terry, turn him in, collect my money, and rejoin with my group who are propbably looking for me anyway. Especially Tracey. Poor girl was assigned to be my teammate when we sent out to capture Terry and we all know her track record for staying with her buddy. Or her buddy staying with her. She must be going frantic about now. Aside from Hunter, and Kling Tracey is one of the people in this group I can really talk too.

As for the nerds I look back to see them catching pase as well. I walk even faster really wanting to break away from them now. I must look stupid standing up straight and speed walking pasting a lot of people with a group of nerds tagged onto my a**. I'm like a leader among pups except the wrong batch. I look over to see the nerds have actually gotten closer. So I do the only thing logically. I run the ******** up out of their. As I start to run I can hear the nerds footsteps starting to pick up as well as if my legs are linked to theirs. Good thing is I'm faster or so I thought. I figured they couldn't stop on a dime so I threw myself into a corner of a building as the nerds ran past me. I looked out to see they had disappeared and assumed I was safe. I sighed and looked back to see they had beaten me here. "OKAY WHAT THE ******** DO YOU WANT?!" I yell at them. The sight of them almost gave me a heart attack since I swore I heard them run past me.

One of the nerds steps forward with a shy and sadden face which makes me settle just a bit. "We need you protection from a man who wants us dead," the boy says. Then it hits me, before Terry wrapped away he said he had some unfinished business to deal with. What these nerds did to him I'll never know but if Terry is after them it means I need to help. Thats what I do. "Okay," I say.
