Another Powderfinger song title. No tears, but luckily I'm finally getting somewhere. The song has nothing ado with love, but war. Or maybe, it is about love. One can easily attribute war of the head and heart to the pull of love over sanity. However, many of us would push away all thoughts of mental cognition if we could live in bliss for only a few seconds.
However, some people just do not change. The hopeless romantics; the ones who think because they love someone that it will be returned; those few who think they're in love with someone. But can it really be called 'in love with someone' given if they aren't with that someone?
I have a feeling my next few entries will be based around this concept while my life takes a turn in the Hamlet direction where as I struggle as the hero with my poor insane Ophelia whose only idea of a good time is drowning herself in a shallow brook while singing a nocturne.
Now, for the lyrics which are taunting me so:
Despite the miseries
And the lessons learned from history
The pattern still repeats
Never to surrender don't you ever repeat
