The Phantom of the Night
Fritz is a thief and he enjoys what he does because he became some what of a celebrity out of becoming a thief. He’s known as the Phantom of the Night. No one knows his true identity and the police never could seem to track him down or remotely close to putting a face or an age to this “Phantom of the Night” character. How long does Fritz have before his luck really runs out? Characters you can be: reporter/resident
The museum was covered with lights and buzzed with excitement as reporters tried to get an inside story of the security of the red ruby that was guarded so well from the legendary “Phantom of the Night”, the police officers kept everyone back as they tried to reinsure not even the Phantom could steal the ruby. The entire building was covered in motion detectors and cameras. “Commander, commander… please what is your intake of the Phantom tonight?” Asked a young female reporter. The Commander looked her up and down before answering. “Knowing the Phantom, he’ll try and take the ruby, though this facility is well guarded on the inside out. So I can’t see a possible way of him succeeding tonight.” he said coolly. “So Commander… would you capture him tonight?” she asked eagerly. The commander drew in a deep breath in thought. “I can’t say that we will, but it’s our goal to capture the culprit if he tries to come and steal the red ruby.” he said confidently enough. “So commander how many times has the Phantom escaped you?” She asked as she looked at him, this hit a nerve on the Commander as his body stiffened. “He’s escaped many times, but I don’t tend to keep adding to my list.” He said as he walked away no longer interested in the young female. “How are we?” He asked as he looked at all the screens. “We’re doing fine sir, there’s no sign of him being around anywhere sir…” he said as he slowly turned to the Commander. “Sir… do you think he’d show up here… what’s so special about this ruby?” he asked as he didn’t understand as he was new to this department. “Listen up kid, we’re protecting this ruby because it has sentimental value. It has a past and it has a future and objects like this interests the damn Phantom.” he said sharply, the thought of the Phantom hits his nerves like no one would believe. There probably wasn’t anyone else in the world that wanted to capture the “Phantom of the Night” more then the Commander.
A dark figure pressed his back up against a wall as his eyes scanned the area with all the lasers. His face was covered with a white mask and under the mask was a pair of black sunglasses so you couldn’t see his eyes. Switching the camera’s while he went along carefully making sure he didn’t set anything off. He wore black from head to toe. A black pair of leather gloves so his fingerprints couldn’t be read and a black cape just for style. It almost scared him how easy it was to get this far as he stood in front of the red ruby. He now could see why it was so special, it was huge the biggest he’d ever seen. It’ll do well on the black market. Gently handling it as he put it in a pouch as he then made his way back threw the security. Dodging every obstacle they had laid out for him. Though the last minute at the exit he purposely walked threw one of the sensors to set off and alarm before he ran off.
The Commander cursed as he asked everyone to check the camera’s that had an animation of the Phantom dancing in a mocking way as if saying that he had done it again and you can’t catch me. “Sir… the ruby… it’s gone.” the commander cursed under his breath as he had a search party for the ruby and the culprit.
Chuckling to himself as he had made great grounds from where he was running from to where he was now. Jumping from one building to the next, twisting and turning in alleyways. His feet moved swiftly across the grounds as he dodged and jumped over obstacles in the alleyway. Running into some knocking them both to the ground, though he managed to move his hand fast enough to stop the persons head from hitting the ground. Grabbing the pouch again as he got up quickly, running faster now as he need to recover some ground now. He probably would never see that person again, though whatever the case he hoped that he didn’t give any indications of who he was, how old he was, or if he was a female or male. He managed to get to a place where no one could see him or know where he was as he quickly changed out of his disguise and into his normal clothing. The baggy blue jeans and a overly large white button up top. Taking down his long silver hair that was choppy looking and not one strand of hair was the same length as any other on his head. Pulling out his PSP as he placed the headphones in as he continued his game, he now looked like a normal teenager on his day off of school. Waiting for his bus, ignoring everything that was happening around him.
