I just completed my first 24 hours here. At first, I was expecting alot of running around in a 2D world, hacking trees, molesting monsters. That is still an option, but certainly not the focus here.

I've become enchanted with the variety of character customization available. I've noted long time players, certainly have eye-catching styles. Its something they earned, but I wonder the time it'll take me to achieve that level of glamor. I've done ok with the early amount of gold I've collected so far (alittle over 4000). At this time, I figure I'll need about 30,000-90,000 gold for several more outfits I want to put together.

So how will I go about harvesting gold? I've entered zOMG, but I really don't know the return on the effort I spend there. I also noticed tiny amount of gold can be had by surfing the fourms and other pages. That's something I intend to do as well, because I've taken note of the role playing community here.
