Solitude and serenity,
you in my arms.
Laying up against a tree
just trying to stay warm.
Little whispers of compassion.
"Yeah, I love you too"
Simple conversation
yet the words were so true.
A sweet little smile,
was reflected in my eyes.
So beautiful and angelic,
you could of stopped time.
Your eyes drifted slowly
until you finally gave in.
As you snuggled in more closely,
I couldn't help but grin.
For the time had gotten late,
and the day had slowly turned dark.
I carried you to my car,
and drove you home from the park.
I carried you to your bed,
tucked you in and closed the door.
The last thing you said was "I love you".
I left a note that read "I love you more".
