Broken, afraid, and lost,
Wondering where God is leading you.
Been hurt so many times afraid of rejection,
Wondering where God is when you need him.
Been abused by your family and friends,
Wondering where God has gone.
Judged and rejected for being you,
Wondering why God isn’t answering your prayer.
You keep calling and you keep seeking,
You keep crying and you keep striving.
You keep praying and you keep hoping,
You keep waiting and you keep watching.
Outcast of the world, outcast of your family,
Forgotten, alone, rejected
Wondering why God wont heal you.
Tormented day in and day out,
Wondering why God wont take the torment away.
Depressed, frustrated, hurting.
Memories of your past flood your mind,
Wondering when God will heal you
You keep calling and you keep seeking,
You keep crying and you keep striving.
You keep praying and you keep hoping,
You keep waiting and you keep watching.
You hear a whisper call your name,
You see a figure of a man come your way.
You wonder who would come your way,
Who would love someone who has been hurt so much.
He lifts up your face, dries your tears, washes your feet.
He picks you up and holds you in his arms
He calls you daddy's little girl.
Something about his love makes you smile,
Something about him you can resist.
You see a hand reaching out for you,
Scared at first you reach out your hand,
He grabs your hand and starts spinning you,
He starts dancing with you, just like a father would.
Once again you feel like a child,
Your burdens are washed away,
Your tears are dried up,
You are filled with joy once again.
You kept calling and you kept seeking,
But He found you in your pain.
You kept crying and you kept striving,
But He gave you a free gift called grace.
You kept praying and you kept hoping
But He never lost hope in you.
You kept waiting and you kept watching
But He was always by your side watching over you,
Waiting for you to come back home.
Remember He was broken, lost, and afraid,
So He could call you Daddy's little girl.
He was hurt and rejected so many times
To say "you are Mine"
He wondered where God was leading Him,
On the hill to Calvary.
He was abused by family and friends,
To give you grace and love.
He wondered why God wouldn't answer his prayer
and let the cup pass on.
He kept crying and He kept striving.
To tell you that you are Daddy's little girl.
He kept praying and He kept hoping,
That you would love Him back.
He kept waiting and He kept watching you,
To tell you that He loves you.
He was the outcast in the world and had no friends,
So you could be accepted into His family.
He was forgotten, alone, and rejected,
So you would not be forgotten, alone or rejected by Him.
He wondered why God wouldn't heal Him,
So He could understand your pain.
He was tormented day in and day out,
He kept crying and He kept striving.
To tell you that you are Daddy's little girl.
He kept praying and He kept hoping,
That you would love Him back.
He kept waiting and He kept watching you,
To tell you that He loves you.
So you could find relief in His arms.
He wondered why God wouldn't take the torment away,
Just so he could be with you forever.
He was depressed, frustrated and hurt,
So He could comfort you in his pain.
He wondered when God would heal Him
All so you could be daddy's little girl
Now and forever…

My Poems
Where I will post poems I write
I need more than just religion
Cause I'm religiously unmoved.
