Today it rained. A lot. It poured. It is still raining at one in the morning.
So, naturally today was the day my sister and I decided to go down to Target. And it might have been because we were wearing witch hats that we found in the dollar section but the Target guy, the guy we normally stalk said. "Hi".
Apparently all we have to do to get his attention is to wear witch hats made for little kids that we have to wear like T.I. wear his beanie. I bet we looked sexy too, all drenched, with our over sized sweat shirts. Or maybe he saw the pictures of us dressed as Gorillas on the Target phones? Who knows.
I got off topic. Mud puddles.
When I was a little kid the only friends I had were boys, so that might have something to do with it, but whenever it rained me and Alex would go dashing out in the alley to jump around in the mud puddles.
I even went with Charity before she got all girly on me. We'd take our toys and send them down the little riverlets that formed between the puddles.
This one day it was all of us, Charity, Alex, my sister and I. It was raining super hard and the giant monster of a puddle that was pretty close to the size of a pond filled up. (If you haven't figured it out, this alley way was not very well maintained.)
Alex had this toy car that we could ride in. (It wasn't an electric one, it was a move your feet Flintstones type one.)
We dragged it all the way to the top of the alley, where the puddle was situated and we were on a slight incline. We all got in the car. Moved our little feet. Soon we were moving so fast we didn't need to do any work. we entered the puddle and the water flew up in our faces. Then the car capsized and we all fell into the puddle.
No one was hurt.
But then I realized that I had lost my little cat figurine. It was about the size of a quarter. We spent a whole hour trying to find that little thing. We did. But, that has to be one of my best childhood meomries.
I can't go a rainy day without remember it. heart
