Gurren Lagann

It's reminded me of why I love anime. Maybe I'm easily entertained, maybe its just that good. You can tell however that care was put into this series, and though some of the talk is tech stuff, if your willing to throw your disbelief out the window, it will rock.

It made sense in the way that they worked...kinda
As they defeated enemy's, they gained with weapons and learned new tactics. The characters can be annoying depending if you can dismiss some behavior of "I'm not good enough" It changed later though. Also important to note that when someone dies, they stay dead.

So saying that I have to state that I found myself crying at the deaths of even minor characters. They died with honor, a warriors spirit, talking about dieing in a blaze of glory, and none with fear in their heart with the war cry of "WHO IN THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM!"

Plus the humor is slapstick but witty at times like this quote "You spout a bunch of crap, but this is crap that I can really get behind!" Its not misused though. If somethings supposed to be sad, no ones cracking a joke 2 seconds afterward.
The music makes sure to match its epicness and if death is in the mix you don't feel sad, you feel proud. No one is just forgotten, everyone who died or risked themselves, the fruits of their sacrifice are shown.

When you watch the first episode and then the last...you see just how far they have come

It's been a while since an anime made me give a s**t about characters, let alone almost the WHOLE cast. I cried, I laughed, and held joy in my heart when they gained that one victory. This was one of a damn of an EPIC anime

I'm sure its just me...I mean I'm a sucker for an anime to move me...but this was just fantastic, it really was
